"We missed one port, so that resulted in one cancellation, but I'm not sure about why the other was cancelled--I was one of 8 on an excursion which went on as scheduled, so the minimum number has to be pretty small.Being more interested in being off the ship at the ports than being occupied inside (our voyage had no scheduled sea days) we didn't sign up for any classes, but I peeked in a couple of times, and it looked like they were having a great time, so next time, I think I would try a cooking class...."Read More

We chose this cruise to get back onto the water. Like so many others, we missed cruising through the pandemic. We saw this cruise surface, realised the vessel was not fully booked, had the time and made the booking. The boat is beautiful, the service wonderful. The other travelers were terrific. Aside from some issues with the cabin, it was an ideal trip. There were a couple of ports that weren't worth a stop, but maybe they needed to - and the prices of the excursions are prohibitive. Shipboard food was excellent. We tried all 4 of the specialty restaurants, as well as the main dining main dining, and Terrace room. Service there was all very good with a high number of waiters, busboys who knew their stuff.

We were interested to see how Oceania compared with Azamara, who we had cruised with a couple of years ago.
On the plus side, the service on Oceania was the best I've ever had. For example, my husband takes dissolvable aspirin with his meals, and one of the wait staff in the buffet noticed, and offered to bring a glass of tepid water (they dissolve better in this).
