A miserable Oceania Marina cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Marina

This was my 4th time cruising with Oceania, the 3rd one on Marina. It's a shame this cruise line deteriorated so far, it used to be my favorite. No complaints about the ship itself, it is beautiful, comfortable and not too large. However, since the last time I have been on it (2019, just before the pandemic hit) it went downhill all the way. The food is not the same, for example, the Polo ...

Vale SilverSea: never again

Review for a British Isles & Western Europe Cruise on Silver Wind

We are 4 times cruisers with SilverSea and have cruised with other lines. After all the lockdowns and travel restrictions over the last years, we were very much looking forward to our 5th cruise on the Silver Wind. Sadly, this will be our last cruise with SilverSea. It is difficult to know where to start. If you want to read on, grab a tea or coffee before you start: - Embarkation – the process ...

Well below expectations

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Le Champlain

This was a Smithsonian Journey and on a previous cruise we met a lovely couple and we became good friends. They had booked this trip and asked if we would consider doing so and enjoy a holiday together. Sadly this trip did not compare in any way with our previous experience while cruising with Ponant. The only special part was meeting our friends. Our cabin left a lot to be desired, ...

WORST CRUISE EVER "THE VIKING LADY LIED"

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Sky

And I have taken several; why you wonder: #1 - I caught an intestinal illness on board, couldn't eat hardly eat anything but chicken soup and a little fruit for the last seven days of the cruise; it was an eleven night cruise. Couldn't determine if it was something I ate or if it was some inconsiderate passenger on board spreading disease; doesn't matter I caught it on board. I do want to ...

Worst travel experience in my life

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Queen Isabel

User Avatar

Horrible guide, dreadful cruise experience as we were not on ship--long bus trips, guide did not give information or attend to our comfort, safety or try to give us a good experience. The food on the ship was wonderful, the people on the ship were wonderful, but 4 days out of 7, no sailing, and the promised excursions mostly did not happen. Instead we got long bus rides to second or third rate ...

Poor service

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Spirit

We chose this cruise because it had an excellent itinerary of small ports along the coasts of Portugal, Spain, and France. Most other cruise lines only make one or two stops along these coasts. Also we had had an excellent experience with Silversea in Alaska so we expected the same this time. Not so. Our primary problem was being given an inexperienced butler which we didn't understand until ...

Old Ship - Very Small Penthouses - Crazy Bathrooms - No Space for Clothes

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Sirena

User Avatar

This was our second cruise on Oceania. We received a lot of press on the new Sirena. We booked a Penthouse SG2 with no specific stateroom. This was a first for us not having a Stateroom; one of their promotions. We were going to be in Europe so all seemed good; bad decision. We did not realize nor did our travel agent, that Oceania advises you of your stateroom the day before sailing. Thus ...
