Consider Another Cruise Line First

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

We were on the recent ill-fated cruise that had to return to port due to mechanical difficulties. Earlier in the cruise, we had already identified shortcomings in cabin cleaniness, mediocre food, and lame excursions that were very disappointing (we did not travel to that distance to be "treated" to a tour of a golf course, taken to markets but not given any time to shop and told that we couldn't ...

Totally disappointed

I wish I would’ve googled this ship before we booked, but I guess I gotta learn somehow. This was our first cruise with Norwegian and everyone was ranting and raving about how great everything is. The only thing they had going for them was embarkment and disembarking, that was super easy as long as you know what you are doing. Our room had a hull balcony, which is fine because I knew what those ...

Norwegian only 3 star after covid years

We chose this cruise to visit Morocco and several ports we had not been to but the Moroccan ports were cancelled at the last minute. Although this was a complete overreaction by the cruise line and we were disappointed it was followed by many other disappointments. The food onboard is nowhere as good as that offered precovid, ie some cold dishes and the flavour and variety has deteriorated. We had ...

Not 6 Star!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Dawn

We chose this cruise to experience a suite on a supposedly 6 star ship. We boarded in Lisbon after queueing on the pavement outside in hot weather and then being transferred from one desk to another. Each desk only dealing with one aspect of the embarkation process. So unprofessional. Extremely poor service throughout the ship. Meals mostly either over cooked or undercooked, cooked in too much ...

Too much wrong and Management didn't care

We had been attracted to the itinerary of the West Africa coast as this seemed a good opportunity to see less-visited places. The missed ports were a disappointment, not least because of the flimsy and conflicting excuses and messages offered by ship management. Arguably, had we managed to dock there, these would have been yet another disappointment because almost all of the ship excursions ...

Two port cancellations, horrible tours, and poor on-board service: not Regent’s usual excellence

Review for a Africa Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

We chose this cruise because of the destinations, principally destinations on the west coast of Africa that are otherwise difficult to visit. Most of the passengers appear to be very well travelled, and those to whom we spoke talked of choosing this cruise because of the destinations, including the Cape Verde Islands, Senegal, The Gambia, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, São Tomé, and ...

Having just completed our Lisbon to Barcelona cruise with Regent, I thought this would be helpful for possible new cruisers. Overall the cruise was a disappointment as Regent have obviously cut back post Covid and without exception, all their past clients complained bitterly and vowed not to travel again with them. It started with a very poor choice of hotel in Lisbon near the airport and ...

Very disappointing experience - like a budget holiday

We originally travelled on the ship nine years ago when it was owned by Seabourn. We decided to revisit the ship for sentimental reasons. The ship is now run by Windstar. All I can say to anyone who is thinking of doing the same not to do so as you will be very disappointed. The experience was a million miles away from the experience we previously had. It was like everything that made the ...
