Well run company and spectacular itinerary

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on National Geographic Explorer

I chose this cruise because of the places it was going to...Falklands, South Georgia and the Antarctic peninsula. The staff on board, including pro photographers, naturalists, scientists were all extremely knowledgeable and gave awesome presentations daily. The crew were all from the Philippines and were extremely attentive, warm and friendly. If you are wanting to go to the Antarctic and ...

I have been with Lindblad for many years now and this was my first trip on a beautiful expedition vessel Orion. I love every bit of it. Great expedition team, amazing Captain Alex and his crew. Hotel services, such as service, culinary, housekeeping were amazing. Stretch class in the morning, followed by a very nice outdoor breakfast, possible landing or a presentation in the lounge. Lunch in ...

South Georgia and the Falklands are must see destinations for people interested in wildlife and polar regions. I've been to Antarctica and the Arctic more than once, loved all those trips, but South Georgia is in a class by itself, given the quantity and diversity of wildlife to be seen -- five species of penguins, many albatross, countless other species of birds, elephant seals, fur seals, just ...

A wonderful trip for those not prone to seasickness and who have the right cabin

Review for a Arctic Cruise on National Geographic Explorer

No doubt about it , this is a trip of a life time . The itinerary allows one to have a very in-depth exploration of Iceland----- its history , culture , wild-life and scenery . And the crew and the scientific resource persons on board cannot be better. However , because of the rough open sea around Iceland and the fact that the ship often had to sail in rough water during dinner , I have to miss 4 ...

An Introduction

This was my second cruise with Lindblad. The first was to the Galapagos. We chose this trip because we thought it would give us an overall view of both Iceland and Greenland. It did just that. The Iceland portion was disappointing as we spent way more time in a bus than we cared to and everything felt rushed. This is a new trip for Lindblad and they need to iron out the wrinkles. The hotels ...

Why I went to Norway again

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on National Geographic Orion

In all honesty I went on this cruise because of the "freebies". I travel solo so I look for ways I can save money ( or I would travel with you more often). There was no solo supplement, had free air ( although I upgraded), and picked up bar tab and crew tips. Lindblad/NatGeo is my favorite tour company. I like traveling at sea They have great speakers. They are quite knowledgeable in many ...

Great Cruise But Pre- and Post-Cruise Let-Down...

This is my second time cruising with Lindblad Expeditions on the National Geographic Explorer. The first time was in Antarctica, and this time was in Svalbard. Overall, I would recommend taking these two cruises, as the shipboard experience is fantastic, and I reckon second to none. However, their weak customer service pre-cruise and post-cruise remains a material negative, which accounts for my 4 ...

Recommended by friends and duration suited our plans. The crew was exceptional , the Naturalists very informed and interesting and the Resident National Geographic Photographer was very patient and a good educator who was very generous with her time and thoughtful presentations.Sir Tim Jarvis was a consummate presenter and very approachable throughout the expedition. The daily zodiac trips ...

A go-go-go tour of the easternmost part of North America

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on National Geographic Explorer

Lindblad/NG’s Explorer spends two weeks in the autumn twice circumnavigating Newfoundland, touching two other Canadian provinces and a tiny, misplaced part of France. Earlier in the year it explores Greenland and points north. After leaving Canada, it heads far south of the equator. Our cruise featured “Robin” MacNeil (of the MacNeil-Lehrer News Hour) as after-dinner speaker. Stops included ...
