Not a great itineary

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on National Geographic Orion

Quality of crew, except expedition leader, was outstanding...itinerary blasé...naturalists excellent, food outstanding...but knowing what we know now, would not recommend this itinerary to NZ. Fairly uninteresting...ship is outstanding, crew excellent...cabin service outstanding. This was the least interesting of any Lindblad/Nat Geo trip we've been on...hope they find better things to do with ...

Beautiful scenery but expedition not up to Lindblad standards

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on National Geographic Orion

We chose this trip because of our wonderful experience with Lindblad in the Galapagos and our understanding from Lindblad that this would be an expedition with varied land experiences in small groups with a top notch team of knowledgeable guides with an A+ Expedition Cruise organization. The further bonus was the opportunity for great diving while on the trip. Sadly, it did not live up to our ...

The Maritimes cruise was a disappointment. I expect more from Nat Geo/Lindblad. My prior trips were amazing but this one was boring at times. Part of it was the location and part was Lindblad. The Maritimes are pretty barren and sparsely populated. Small fishing villages are quaint but after a while the whole Cod fish story gets fishy. The highlights were the Viking camps and restored Viking ...

For the money, my recent cruise to Greenland and Canadian Arctic was a bit of a let down. First, we were misdirected at the Reykjavík airport and the bus actually left without us! And did the same to at least one other person. The ground tours were ok but very rushed, and they paraded us around Iceland for 6 hours or so after arriving at 6am from a 5-hour flight. The parting lunch was abysmal, and ...

We chose this cruise because we prefer small groups, good food, great destinations and comfort. . .we have been on two cruises, both small boats with a little more than 100 passengers. Normally we travel on our own, unguided but well researched beforehand. We found the Orion to be everything we thought it would be. . .comfortable, great views, a wonderful room, smooth running and quiet too and ...

Not The Best Trip

We took this cruise because we heard how beautiful Chilean Patagonia is. This is a land and sea expedition, We had previously taken a Lindblad expedition and was happy with it, so we were sure this one would also be topnotch. My husband and I were really disappointed as were other guests. They accommodated my diet for BLD but not snacks or special functions. Torres del Paine National ...
