My husband and I were part of a family cruise group of 10. This was his first cruise, and my first in 30 years. Our entire group purchased The Key, and we purchased the Unlimited Drinks package. Embarkation was super easy with The Key. Once we were checked in, we all walked straight on the ship and went to the dining room for our Chops welcome lunch. Our carry-on bags were brought to our rooms ...

We chose a 7 night Caribbean voyage for our first Royal Caribbean cruise. We had been to the 3 ports many times, but took totally different excursions. The itinerary was fun as usual, but this particular ship was older, outdated, and in need of a thorough deep cleaning. The any time dining plan was always crowded and a long wait. We like to keep a flexible evening just in case the day is running ...

This was our 2nd time on Liberty. Its convenient to us sailing out of Galveston and is really a great ship. Considering that it is in use 100% of the time since its last dry dock, the ship is in excellent shape. Very clean. The crew were friendly and attentive - lots of hello's as we walked around. We eat in the main dining room and had great service and food in MTD. We prefer MTD as it ...

This is my first review on Cruise critic, but I have been on 8 cruises in my life. This is our 7th time with Royal Caribbean and second time on Liberty of the Seas. I am going to try to give you the most detailed and honest review I can. A little background... We are almost Emerald Status (will be after our Feb cruise) and are traveling as a family of 4. My wife, 5 year old son, and almost ...

Excellent Service, Very Clean Ship, wonderful pool & kids splash area. Our 7 & 9 year olds had a blast! Smooth & fairly quick embarkation from Galveston. We were lucky to have 2 adjoining rooms & really appreciated the extra space. We stayed on deck three and had a great experience. We never felt the ship moving—very smooth sailing. The shows were great! We went to see Saturday ...

We’ve sailed four times with Royal Caribbean, but always on older, smaller ships — Grandeur of The Seas, Enchantment of the Seas and Majesty of The Seas — and were itching for a chance to try larger ships. This summer, we opted for a cruise on Liberty to celebrate the high school graduation of our son and daughter. Later in the summer, we will be on Anthem of the Seas for a just the two of us ...

Getting there: Flew in to IAH, rented a car, drove to Galveston the night before the cruise. Had the car to sight see on the way, Stayed at the Inn at the Waterpark overnight, Next day parked at EZ Cruise Parking, took their shuttle to the pier. Hotel is a little run down. Parking was good experience. Porter took the suitcases right from the parking shuttle. Embarcation: long lines but moved ...

We chose this cruise because it matched our kids' Spring Break and went out of Texas, which makes flights more affordable from California than Florida cruises. We absolutely loved their buffet, Windjammer Cafe. It almost turned us off on day one when there was no seating, but we learned that if you ask staff there for help, they will find you something. Staff overall (aside from a grumpy lady ...

We really enjoyed our cruise. If it hadn't been for the rain, it would have been amazing. The food was fantastic and served promptly. The servers (ours at least) were fun and friendly. Russtinov and Idewa. Our room steward was friendly and attentive and did an amazing job for us. Valent was his name. The waitress in Sabor was amazing. Hunilyn, I think was her name. As far as the excursions, we ...

Our cruise started with wind and rain. This was no way Royal Caribbean’s fault. I will not be reviewing this cruise based on the rough seas, high winds or the rained out excursions. Instead, I will base it on the the ship and room and on board entertainment. Our stateroom-1812. Very spacious and the floor to ceiling window was amazing. Plenty of space for a family of four. The in room ...
