The room was great for us. The balcony had two lounge chairs with a little table, and then two chairs and a large patio table where we ate a few times and enjoyed coffee daily before the kids woke up. Inside the room was a pullout couch where the boys slept and our room steward (Edwin) brought in a rollaway bed that we put beside it for our daughter. Then we had a bed to ourselves on the other side of the room that could be separated by a curtain. We had LOTS of drawers (so many we even had empty drawers even with 5 of us)! We had two sinks in the bathroom and a bathtub which was great for the little ones. Read Less

Wonderful ship! : Cabin 1260
We always love staying in a Grand Suite (or higher). The cabin was great! We have, however, had better stateroom attendents in the past. Over all, we will choose this room type again!

1289 is a beautiful cabin with a huge balcony (two chairs, big round table, two loungers, small table). Our bathroom was very spacious with a tub and a double sink and upgraded toiletries. There was a nice vanity with cupboards and drawers in the bedroom area, along with two nightstands. The living room area had a sleeper sofa, two chairs, a coffee table, two end tables with lamps, and a TV with a PlayStation. When you entered the cabin, there were two huge mirrored closets and a big bar area with drawers beneath. There was lots of storage space. We had overpacked and still had empty drawers once we were finished unpacking. Waiting for us were our robes, a big glass bottle of Evian, two regular bottles of water, two cans of Diet Coke, a plate of cookies, a bowl of fruit, and our drink package cups. Read Less

Loved the double balcony - a couple of our teenagers slept the entire night on the lounge chairs since the weather was so nice. The small refrigerator was for chilling wine only (55 degrees) not for any kind of food storage. We had five people in the suite, so when the sofa was opened and a rollaway brought it, it was pretty tight. But considering the three teenagers refused to put their clothes away and were living out of their suitcases, the extra space in the suite was much appreciated. Electrical outlets were limited, so between two teenage girls getting ready and charging various devices, we were always plugging, unplugging stuff. Would recommend bringing a steamer - you are not allowed to bring an iron nor do they provide one, but a steamer worked very well and is a great investment. Suite would be plenty of room for two or three people (two in the king size bed, one on the coach) and even four would be manageable. Five, as stated, is possible, but tight and things will get a little messy unless you are super careful about putting stuff away. There are three large closets and about 18 drawers if my memory serves of various sizes (not including bathroom drawers). Bathroom is large with double sink and nice deep tub, if you want to take a hot bath. Location of room was good, just around the corner from the elevators, and only one floor from the fitness center and spa. The food venues (Windjammer, suite lounge) are at the other end of the ship as is the theatre. The first night the ship was rocking and being closer to the front, it did rock a little more probably than if closer to the middle. Overall, was a nice cabin that worked for the five of us. Excellent room. Once you've had the suite life you'll never go any other way. Ito, our suite attendant and Jorge, our concierge, were the best. Plenty of room, and the balcony is awesome. Our own private spot in the sun.
