Not a fan of inside cabins, wanted to try one with a window that overlooks the Promenade. Hubby is claustrophobic so invited sister to experience this cruise with me. The cabin did have limited space but with the window it made the cabin seem somewhat larger. Still do not think it would work for my husband though as he is spoiled by balcony cabins. We kept the window curtains opened during the ...
Liberty of the Seas is a delightful ship with so much to enjoy especially on a 3 or 4 night itinerary. Embarkation was a breeze 5 minutes after being dropped off we were getting our welcome aboard photo and walking down the gangway directly stepping onboard. The Windjammer was open and had an abundance of food to select from. Everything we tasted was good and the service friendly. The exterior of ...
The staff was phenomenal!! Our room attendant was so nice and caring and even gave us extra care. The food was so so good and the homemade bread at the main dinning room was so good!! I never had a bad meal even in the buffet. The servers were so sweet and always made sure you were well taken care of. I always felt safe on the cruise on the ship and off. All the staff greeted you with a smile even ...
I’m writing this review to correct what I think were some inappropriately negative reviews that left out a lot of good things about this ship. I’ve done over 50 cruises, about half of them with Royal.
- This ship had the best gym of any ship I‘ve been on including Oasis and Allure. Just the presence of an Olympic bar adds a lot of value to the gym and the rest is very good too.
- The ...
As a group of friends we always try to book a January vacation and this did not disappoint, we were VERY lucky with the weather which added to the enjoyment.
I had read reviews stating that Liberty was showing her ‘age’ which I found bizarre as she’s really not that old at all! Sure enough we saw nothing that indicated any lack of attention or repair - except the large screen poolside which ...
Since 2020 we have missed several schedule cruises due to COVID-19. This is our 43rd cruise and wedding anniversary. Coming from Galveston we hit the normal islands on our 7 day voyage - Rootan, Costa Maya and Cozumel.
The severity of the pandemic is low in the Houston Texas area so we ready to cruise but still skeptical. To our suprize, all RCL employees wore mask. Although, very few ...
This was my fifteenth cruise and second cruise w/ RCCL It was mostly a big improvement over our five day sailing on the Jewel in 2019. Our balcony cabin was clean, airy, and spacious. Our steward, Diasa, was friendly and attentive. Dining was mostly good although there were a few meals in the main dining room that could have been tastier. The same for other venues. For example, the pizza is ...
This review is done to help cruisers understand how RCCL has modified it's sailings given Covid -- and why I hope many of the new changes stay for the duration. This is from the view of a Diamond Plus member with over 40+ cruises to help many decide if it is time to come back to sailing -- as I believe it is. Here goes:
This review is intended to help those coming back to RCCL and wanting to ...
Boarding was quick as not many people there. Our time was 1 pm. Got there about 12:15. Walked right into the terminal.
On board in 20 minutes. Had to wear mask during entire boarding process. Ship was about 50% capacity. Windjammer was only serving on one side. Windjammer was no longer self serve. Ship provided the servers. Went quickly.
Rooms ready at 2 pm. All ship's staff wore masks ...
We absolutely loved the layout of the ship. We had a huge spacious balcony cabin on the aft. We are gluten-free and had a wonderful experience. I believe we had the best gluten-free pizza we've ever had! Even though we had My Time dining, we were able to have the same waitstaff and table every night. The ice show was magnificent! In fact, we loved all the shows we saw, but we didn't make it ...
