Transatlantic Crossing

Review for Sea Cloud to Transatlantic

2-5 Cruises

Me and my wife are sailors since appr. 1976. We own a sailboat in the Mediterranean sea . Because my wife don`t share my dream crossing the Atlantic on own keel and I refuse to go on board of one of those terrible looking large cruising ships, we find the Sea Cloud as good compromise for both of us. Sea Cloud is a legend and has a special character. That`s why we choose it. On a trans shore ...

We were on the departure from Las Palmas on 1st February. I had booked just after Christmas and only then started reading some of the reviews – big mistake! In the event we had a great week with virtually no problems at all. We were blessed with fine weather nearly all the time. The staff on board really made the trip, they were the best I have experienced on any cruise, and just could not do ...

Pre-booking cabins 16 months ahead for a 50th anniversary for 4 cabins should be easy to keep. Not on this one. Not only was cabin type changed so was location, to the most forward cabins on board. These we would NEVER have agreed to. No change could be made and we all suffered the horrendous noise and vibrations for a week. For an ALL-INCLUSIVE deal the service for my wife and I confinded to our ...

What's happened then Thompsons? Such a big difference in service and quality from our cruise from last New Year. Two dates for embarkation 27 and 28 December We joined the ship in Gran Canaria on 28th December. Arrived late due to air traffic problems over Portugal. Transfer from airport to ship was swift and efficient. Got on board at 9.20pm and lined up to register our credit card etc, about 20 ...

From checking in at Stansted to boarding at Tenerife it was all "plain sailing" excuse the pun. We hardly had a queue for embarkation and were taken straight to our cabin and our cases were already there, so we dumped out hand luggage and went on a tour of the ship. Although a smaller ship the Celebration had the traditional wrap around promenade deck which was lovely to walk around especially ...

Las Palmas to Barbados: 2nd October to 17th October 2007. I have wanted to cruise for a few years, but was discouraged as I was unsure about being on a ship for a week or even more. I spoke to friends who all advised different things, some said standard cabin, and some said balcony etc. In the end, I had to make up my own mind. My partner Lynne and I decide one afternoon that rather than go to ...
