1-10 of 23 Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) to Europe - Western Mediterranean Family Cruises Cruise Reviews
Some lovely restaurants attended by excellent waiting staff. Three of the six restaurants have an additional charge applied. Most of the food was very good with only one or two disappointing meals experienced during our week long stay.
The bars look very 70's but were also well attended.
The cabins are a bit bland whilst the communal parts of the ship appear very dated. My wife and I enjoyed ...
My wife and I have just returned from our first 7 day Western Mediterranean cruise aboard the Tui Discovery. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found pretty much everything to be complete opposite to some of the highly critical reviews we read before departure which made us a little apprehensive.
All of the staff and crew were friendly and helpful with particular mention to Leah our cabin ...
Getting on the ship was speedy enough and we did queue for some unexplained reason, that happened coming off as well.
Of the whole cruise it was the rooms that put us off this cruise as they are so small and extremely dated, but kept very clean. The ship was kept very clean throughout.
Service at the bars was very good as even with a sizable queue you didn't need to wait long.
As with the rooms ...
Okay the ship is not the most plush ship in the world but then after having some 1500 passengers go through it's doors and corridors every one/two weeks you can't expect it to be! After reading reviews on here I very nearly cancelled but i'm so glad i didn't! We had an amazing time. The ship is as described, very relaxed although if you chose to wear refineries no one batted an eyelid. The cruise ...
Read loads of reports on forums and agree with most of the 3 star ratings. We also have some friends who have been on this ship before.
Some things people find fault with are ridiculous. Plastic plates drop the ratings. Who's bothered if the plates are plastic???
Overall enjoyed the cruise but there are some issues mainly due to the fact this ship is a converted ferry. If we go on another cruise ...
This was our first cruise and first package holiday! I traveled with my mother who is in her 60s and we usually enjoy city breaks, Barcelona being one of our favourites but decided this year that a cruise would be a great way to see the city sights we like with a bit of relaxation thrown in!
We were drawn to this ship from its description as informal and laid back on the website, we also were ...
Travelled on this ship from 28th May and during the week started to hear a few unbelievable stories about the week before.
I booked the Deluxe Balcony cabin, one at the back of the ship, imagining sitting out there watching as we left the various ports. Cabin was nice but a bit shabby. For the extra money Id paid I expected better!
The first morning we woke up to find the toilet in our cabin was ...
we travelled with my son and his new wife for their first cruise.the embarkation queue was lengthy but moved quite fast and within 30 mins we had boarded.we were impressed with the centrum a rea and after signing up for the drinks package we had our first of many cocktails consumed over the 5 days.
i had arranged for the wedding celebration decoration package as a surprise laa we were excited to ...
On the whole a good experience,, from the transfer/check-in through the inboard experience and onto departure.
A straightforward embarkation process, although a few extra pens being available to complete the medical questionnaire and banking details would have been handy.
The cabin was as expected, worth paying that little extra to secure daylight as compared to our previous experience of ...
We flew from Newcastle to Palma, and arrived just after 11am, however it took us over 4 hours to actually get on the boat, even though we were last on the coach at the airport it still sat there for another 30 minutes. Then they took us to this castle at the top of Palma overlooking the bay and finally the port which took over an hour to check us in. Why don't they have more people taking your ...
