Single traveler on 'Canary Islands And Madeira' cruise with 'Mein Schiff 1' from Las Palmas. I chose this cruise to experience the brand new ship and 'TUI Cruises'. Embarkation - This was done very quickly. The baggage already waited in front of my stateroom when I boarded the ship after my excursion to the city, that was about 4 hours after CheckIn. Security Drill - Cruise guests tightly ...

My partner usually cruises with Royal Carribean however I Persuaded her to try Thomson. The ship is impressive being an ex Royal Carribean ship however Thomson appear to be still trying to get a grip of running a bigger ship. The evening entertainment was good on most nights and the variety excellent. The entertainment during the day around the pool could have been better and more varied. The ...

SHORT VERSION Thomson Spirit is an old ship but with a fantastic crew, great food and offers very good value – including an “all inclusive” option which includes house wines, some beers and standard spirits. All prices in sterling, no service charges or taxes. Entertainment good for the size of the ship especially the musicians. The age of the ship does mean it looks tired in places and ...

Excellent Value for Money

Some poor reviews and left me with what turned out to be unfounded concerns about to expect on this cruise. Our embarkation went like clockwork as did pretty much everything else on the cruise. We had a mini suite on Deck 12 and it was fantastic. The balcony was more than adequate for two people, our bed was comfortable and tonnes of storage. Everything very clean throughout the ship. Our ...

I must admit was a bit wary about going on a MSC cruise after reading views therefore went with an open mind which I am glad I did as it exceeded my expectations. We are a couple in our 40s and 50s and this was our 8th cruise having cruised Royal caribbean, Celebrity and Thomson previously. Everything was organised by our travel agent Barbara from cruise.co.uk including flights, hotels and ...

My hubby (44) and I (46), have sailed only twice before having discovered cruising only last year. We have sailed with RCI and plan to cruise twice a year now. We did not want to get hung up on a particular cruise line and wanted a good cruise and a bargain cruise each year. We opted for MSc as the price was good, *cheap! The itinerary was good and only a four hour flight to the sun. Having read ...

On the whole a good experience,, from the transfer/check-in through the inboard experience and onto departure. A straightforward embarkation process, although a few extra pens being available to complete the medical questionnaire and banking details would have been handy. The cabin was as expected, worth paying that little extra to secure daylight as compared to our previous experience of ...

This was our 3rd cruise and we sailed early October from Palma Majorca our flight was early out of Manchester and we were on board by 11:00 am, we booked an inside state room as wanted to see what it was like as our previous 2 cruises we'd had balcony rooms and was surprised when we got on board as given the key to an outside room we queried it at guest relations and were told that we had been ...
