Good, but not a "Premium All-Inclusive" as Mein Schiff advertises...

Review for Mein Schiff to Canary Islands

Just came back from our first ever Mein Schiff cruise, and my first German speaking ship experience (my partner has been once on the AIDA). This was our 28th cruise. I, a non-german, but German speaking person, give this ship a 3 out of 5. My partner, German born and raised, gives it a 4. Both of us liked a few things, and disliked a few others. All in all, we found the "Premium All Inclusive" ...

23rd CRUISE IN TEN YEARS - Cabin comfortable with towel sculptures and effective service!! We eat exclusively in the Main Restaurant as we are not fans of buffets at any cost!! We also refuse to take part in the cruise industries 'up selling' measures. The restaurant experiences was excellent. Good food although there is clear evidence of 'dumping down' and cost saving going on, compared ...

Expectations not met - Mein Schiff 3

We are loyal Celebrity cruisers (8 cruises sind 2013, mostly Aqua Class), but with the newly introduced price increases we wanted to try something new. As German natives it was logic to try a German cruiseline. As we love being serviced at the table, TUI was the only option for us. Unfortunately we were not as happy as with Celebrity (although we did enjoy the cruises of course): - In ...

Review for Zenith to Canary Islands

We have been on a number of cruises and we tend to select by itinerary and price rather than cruise line and have been on RCI, Princess, MSC, Oceania, Azamara and HAL. We selected this cruise to give us the opportunity to have some warmer weather and there are not many lines cruising in this area.Cost was also attractive. Pullmantur focus on Spanish speaking markets but all staff speak ...

This ship whilst being old is so great value for money you don’t notice the age of the ship We had a balcony cabin which was fine in size plenty of storage space and bathroom slightly bigger than other ships we have been on We paid £1450 for 2 of us all inclusive including tips Food in the restaurant was fabulous and the waiters can’t do enough for you. Maybe a bit limited in choice but ...

Pullmantur Zenith Christmas cruise 2018 - Fantastic value for money

Review for Zenith to Canary Islands

We saw this cruise for £549 for 7 nights all inclusive and after reading bad reviews, thought why not, we were already going to stay for 2 weeks in Gran Canaria and this was cheaper than an all inclusive hotel, so we went with an open mind. I have cruised once before with Cunard and my partner has never cruised before. Embarkation and cabin: Embarkation was pretty straightforward. We showed ...

Older ship catering for mostly Spanish clientele

Review for Zenith to Canary Islands

Zenith is an old boat, built in 1992 so with that in mind it was never going to be one of the newer luxury liners. The accommodation was adequate without being luxurious. With an older boat such as Zenith there are always creeks and noises as the boat moves which can be disturbing for sleep if you are a light sleeper. On the question of the movement of the boat we both find that there was quite a ...

Mein Schiff 1 - Solid German Cruise-Craftsmanship

Single traveler on 'Canary Islands And Madeira' cruise with 'Mein Schiff 1' from Las Palmas. I chose this cruise to experience the brand new ship and 'TUI Cruises'. Embarkation - This was done very quickly. The baggage already waited in front of my stateroom when I boarded the ship after my excursion to the city, that was about 4 hours after CheckIn. Security Drill - Cruise guests tightly ...

An excellent choice even if you don't speak German

The fact that it was a German-speaking cruise and we have very little German did not matter since all crew speak English. Safety announcements are also in English. This was our first-ever cruise and we were truly amazed at the quality of everything. Staff: The crew are well selected, well trained, friendly, and clearly happy in their jobs. Food: The main Atlantik restaurant is first class. ...

Excellent Value for Money

Review for MSC Armonia to Canary Islands

Some poor reviews and left me with what turned out to be unfounded concerns about to expect on this cruise. Our embarkation went like clockwork as did pretty much everything else on the cruise. We had a mini suite on Deck 12 and it was fantastic. The balcony was more than adequate for two people, our bed was comfortable and tonnes of storage. Everything very clean throughout the ship. Our ...
