First cruise after COVID

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Embarkation was easy, once you checked in on the app getting through the terminal was a breeze. Once onboard you went to your mustard station to check in, and that was quick and painless. The ship is smaller and does lack all the bells and whistles of the newer ships but those who still like the small ship feel this class is still great. The only issue was very slow service at bars and in the ...

Really can not talk enough about the staff and crew. They were very friendly and even remembered your name. They made sure you were taken care of. If you needed anything they made sure you got it. Bartenders were friendly and professional and great to talk to. Overall the crew and staff were great. The food was not the greatest. I was really disappointed on the food. We only ate at ...

My wife and myself have just completed our second cruise with Royal Caribbean, This time on one of the smaller ships, it had good and bad points, The ship was very well run from the moment we arrived at Rome airport, RC staff took control of everything , luggage was taken and delivered to our cabin, transfers were on time and embarkation was smooth. The ship has some lovely areas lots of dark ...

Wonderful way to see the ABC Islands

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

We chose this cruise because of the ten day cruise to the ABC Islands. Always wanted to book this cruise since it was offered on the Sun Viking , many, may years ago. With kids and college expenses we finally got the chance this year. We boarded the ship and went to the Windjammer found a table immediately enjoyed a great lunch with lots of variety. Cabins were ready early and luggage was ...

A few mishaps

Had a wonderful cruise with only a few quirks. Food was good but lacked choices, never a chair available by the pool as people saved them in spite of the rules, masking tape all over on the partition glass between our balcony and the one next door as paint had been scraped off, (good thing our friends were in that stateroom as we could see into each others balconies), One evening we were sitting ...

Great cruise!

A great itinerary on a nice ship! This was our 14th cruise on the 5th different cruise line (Celebrity, Carnival, NCL and Holland America). We’ve always liked Royal and liked the southern itinerary of this cruise last year on Celebrity so we decided to book a cruise with the same itinerary. We flew in from Ottawa, Canada the day before and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ...

Value Of The Seas

I was between 3 and 4 stars but went with 4 because of the value you get with this ship. It isn't as big or glitzy as the other boats in the fleet but it makes due. The service was great and the staff works very hard to make your experience the best it can be. The access to the pool/bar was easy. We never had to wait or fight over pool chairs, seating at dinner/buffet. The entertainment was ...

First Time on RCI; A Trip to Remember!

This was by far one of our favorite cruises. We've only been cruising for 4 years but have done 7 to date on Princess, Celebrity and NCL...I guess making up for lost time! Many of our friends cruise RCI exclusively so we were so very excited to find this short trip with a fabulous itinerary. I don't know what the interior of the Jewel looked like before the recent renovation but I can tell you ...

First Cruise for Us!

Having never been on one before, we were very happy with how everything went. We were lucky enough to be cruising with 30+ year friends that are seasoned cruisers and they showed us the 'ropes' so that we felt comfortable quickly. And, we got to board with them early since our reservations were linked! Stayed at the San Juan Airport hotel since we only had about 10 hours before boarding. Basic ...
