Beautiful Centrum area. Lots of bands and other entertainment took place here.

This is Geiranger Norway and my husband, myself and My Mom.
If you can ever get to the Fjords in Norway please do. You won't regret it.

Norway is the cleanest place I have ever been. Pristine! It is also the most gorgeous. The fjords are so amazing and the colour is so brilliant. Flam and Olden along with Geiranger were the top three stops.

"We originally had a Cyprus walking tour booked after getting off the ship, but found out that this was being given free so got our money back.Upon returning to the bus stop we got on our bus back to the ship, but then so did passengers for the Mein Schiff 5 which was next to ours in the port...."Read More

Jewel of the Seas • 8 NIGHT NORWEGIAN FJORDS CRUISE - 5/4/2023

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

The idea of taking the cruise was to visit Amsterdam beforehand and cruise along Norway villages were the two countries that we wanted to visit for the longest time. We were disappointed with how old the ship was, everything is outdated. The $32 fee a day for a couple is for room cleaning but the toilet area ALWAYS smells like urine. The service in the Tides restaurant was excellent, though all ...

At first I had a cruise booked on the Rhapsody of the Seas from Venice to Barcelona which got postponed, and then cancelled. I then wanted to do the Harmony but I was lead to believe Italy did not want UK residents due to high Covid levels, so eventually settled for the Jewel out of Cyprus. So we travelled by train from Nottingham to London and then on to Gatwick the day before and stayed at ...

We have cruised on a few ships and I did prefer this smaller ship, yes it's old but was clean and kept well. I liked that I could find a sunbed in a quiet location . Solarium was a nice place to relax. Safari club was my bar of choice lots of room and great seats in the stern. Entertainment was just ok apart from a juggler on last night who was excellent. MDR had no issues we were on my ...

From England and booked online via Royal Caribbean. First cruise but the destination was the real seller having nothing to compare to. Emirates flight was great to Dubai. Plenty of security at port but no problems with that. Carry all paperwork and credit card to hand. Pre paid deluxe drinks package and most shore excursions. Ship - previously said nothing to compare to and a little nervous ...

Review: Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas 9 day Greek islands Sailed: Oct 2019 Here’s my thoughts. Just got off the boat ! Note: I’ve cruised many times on most lines. Both as a couple and as a family. This was a mid aged couples honeymoon trip for us THE GOOD - itinerary ! Couldn’t beat the stops for the 9 night Greek islands. Trip was worth it for the ports and the ports ...

Say "Yes" to Greece, But "No" to Jewel of the Seas

Port calls to Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, and Katakolon await you! Travelers will discover each island differs in its beauty, shopping, food, and activities. Recommend to reserve on board excursions especially in the area of transportation in order to fully enjoy each island. Port call for Rome requires the traveler to consider arriving a couple days prior to embarkation or staying after ...

Greek Island cruise - like the smaller ship

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

I think the captain said it best - he likes this class of ships best - the ship has the same propulsion as the largest ships with a smaller ship size. Thus making it the Maserati of the Sea. In February we took a larger ship and the lines for food and challenge of finding pool seating made for a bad experience. There were still the typical chair saving people on board which never works out ...

Probably the worst cruise ship I have ever sailed on

I wanted to go to the Greek Islands, specifically Santorini and Rhodes, I did a 18 day cruise on RC Radiance of the Seas the year before and although it was old, the food and entertainment were good. On Jewel of the Seas, there were no dance lessons, the food was way below standard for a cruise ship and the staff and cabins left a lot to be desired. Even the Americans on board were complaining ...

We just completed an 11 day Mediterranean cruise on the Jewel of the Seas in April. Overall, we found it to be an enjoyable experience. Pros: The train from Rome to Civitavecchia was convenient and took about an hour. There was a shuttle from the station in Civitavecchia to the RCCL area to board buses to the ship. We waited in line for some time to have board a bus to take us to the ...

We selected this cruise since we have always wanted to see the canal. We decided this time of the year to get away from cold and snow in Kansas and to give my wife a break from her cancer treatments. We also made the cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary and both our 72nd birthdays. We found the cruise extremely interesting, enjoyable and relaxing which is what we were wanting. The Jewel is ...
