Embarkation: Smooth as silk. We were on the ship by 12:30p. Not the most scenic port, but I'll take function over form any day. The ship: Having only been on one other cruise a year and a half ago (Allure of the Seas), we thoroughly enjoyed the Jewel. I liked all the glass and wood, and I think, at least compared to the Allure, that I prefer a smaller ship. It was a bit more ...

This was my first time doing a Canada / New England cruise. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean before. Currently a Platinum member about to become an Emerald member. I've also sailed with Carnival, Celebrity and NCL but Royal Caribbean has always been my brand of choice. I'm a solo traveler and I like it that way. Form Miami, Florida. This time around my friend Rob (everyone at Royal Caribbean ...

My other cruises were on a more casual line and only had one port vs. having 4 ports in 7 days, so this was a change for me. I also wasn't sure what to expect as this cruise had formal assigned seating at dinner.... along with formal dress dinners 2 nights. I wasn't sure that I would like having to dress for dinner or like sitting with the same people every night. OMG...what if we didn't like ...

This is our 6th cruise, 5th with Royal Caribbean. Let's discuss the ship as well as the ports we stopped at. BOSTON: If you have a chance, we suggest that you come early to Boston and explored this great city before boarding the ship. Highlights that my husband and I experienced were The Freedom Trail, Harvard, seeing beautiful architecture, going to the "Cheers" bar and wonderful dining ...

This was the first cruise I had taken since I was a child so for all intents and purposes I did not know what to expect. Wow! I can't think of one negative thing about our 7 day cruise. The ship was extremely clean and beautiful. Dennis the cruise director did a great job, as well as Becky senior, the activities director. Staff from the bartenders to the waiters to the room attendants was ...

Arrived in Boston a few days early to see some sights. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express-69 Boston St. This hotel offers a shuttle service both to/from the airport and to the cruise port for $5.00PP each leg. Used Bostontours.com to do a full day tour. They pick up at this hotel on the weekends. Took the shuttle to Black Falcon Sunday morning at 10:30 AM and is just a 10-15 minute ride. No waiting ...

We flew from Manchester (England) to Newark Liberty Airport then onto Boston Logan Airport where we stayed a night in the Westin Waterfront Hotel before embarking the ship the following day (All included in the cruise price). Hotel Info: We was originally booked to stay in the Hyatt harbourside hotel but 1 week before the cruise we received a call to say that our hotel had been changed to the ...

Embarkation: Perfect! We arrived at Black Falcon Terminal at 11:05am and eating lunch at the Windjammer by 11:45. Very well organized, kudos to RCI and the Black Falcon employees! Room: We had a balcony on the 8th floor, room 8110. Very clean, and comfortable. The balcony was just the right size too. The bathroom, very tight, but clean. Our stateroom attendant was always available and ...

Embarkation was a breeze with wonderful people helping my friend in the wheel chair. I am guessing it took 45 minutes to an hour to get from the taxi to on board. Almost as good as our Disney experiances and way better than Princess. We went straight to Windjammer for lunch. The six of us had a time finding a table mainly because people were using the tables and chairs for a lounge area while ...

This is the second time we have been on Jewel of the Seas. We spent 26 days on her last year for a Baltic cruise and the Transatlantic to Boston. Our cabin steward Lloyd was excellent as well as our waiter Marsha and asst waiter Mario. Boarding in Boston is very easy. Our room was ready when we boarded the ship. So we dropped off our carry-on and went to lunch. We were traveling with ...
