Took 5 day cruise to Bahamas on Elation. It is a Fun Ship! Everyone in our group including adults and children had a great time. Very nice staff. We loved Gabe, our cruise director, who was overflowing with energy and smiles! A few things to know about the Elation. It seems like an entry level cruise ship. Smallish and needing updating. Two hot tubs full of children <10 yrs old, plus two hot tubs ...

Our stateroom attendant wayman was awesome and a pleasure to speak to everyday. our 3 waiters in the main restaurant were fantastic as well. went and had massage on the first night down at the spa and it was amazing. they did an amazing job. just very pushy on trying to sell their products in the end. no complaints, they are just doing their job. quality of food in the dining room and ...

I would not go back onto this cruise only because we weren’t being taken seriously. our a/c was detected to 78 degrees and poor management being shown to us. I called the phone 3 times for someone to fix the a/c.I was told the technician was on break so I understand how that feels to be on break while having a job. So I waited a day to give it some time. I went to guest services because I’ve been ...

We chose this cruise because we needed to be in Jacksonville for another event and decided it was convenient and we didn’t need to drive further south. If you’re from the north there are 2 things you need to know. 1. These people down here really still smoke a lot more and yes there is a designated area on board up above the pool outside but All Day it wafts right at you. 2. We went to a special ...

I treated myself to a birthday cruise in October, 2022. The Elation is based within a decent driving distance from my home, and the price was right, even with the double charge for a solo cruiser. It was that cheap. Embarkation was very easy, and the port crew was very pleasant and efficient. My cabin, an ocean view with two small portholes (priced more closely to an inside than a ...

Cheers package- we had this and it cost us about $617+ for my husband and I. Drinks range from $6.85-$15.00 each. So I’m thinking it’s been worth is as you can purchase water bottles through this as well as coffee (that’s not in main dining and other drinks alcoholic or non) for whatever the reason- drinking water seems really far away the entire time lol. They only have water spouts in the main ...

Great to be with an older girls cruise for the long weekend. Friendly service. Food so-so and always only mildly warmed in dining room. Bread very hard. As for entertainment, the dance shows were LOUD electric music with flashing lights. Singers going to the top of voice range which means I had to put hands over ears. Nice costumes and movement around stage. Avoid Kirk as a ...

It's Alright

I titled this review "It's Alright" because that's what we kept saying the whole cruise. Our expectations were low since we knew it was an older ship, and because of Carnivals reputation, but I think they weren't quite low enough. I will say that the cabins were a pleasant surprise. We upgraded to an ocean view and it was pretty spacious compared to other cruise lines I've cruised on. The ...

We chose this cruise because it was a good deal for our family of five and were able to get a connecting room for our kids to be beside of us. This was my wife and I's third cruise and our children's first and our first on Carnival. The ship was ok, but not great. One turn off when we got on the ship was the fact that the life boats are located at deck 11 where you would normally want to have a ...

Carnival Elation Sailing out of Jacksonville. We were 3 couples with suites V 2,4,6 all together. We all had junior suites and are members of their VIFP club (frequent cruisers) which allows priority boarding. The embarkation process was a breeze. We were allowed access to our cabins to drop our stuff. They were not quite ready. The jr suite was quite nice. King bed, sofa/twin bed, small table ...
