Interesting Mediterranean Cruise, With Plenty To See and Do

Review for Silver Spirit to Mediterranean

10+ Cruises

Age 60s

This was our third cruise in as many years on Silversea, and our first time on the Silver Spirit. Our two previous Silversea experiences were on smaller ships, where we were delighted by high level of service at every turn. On those two cruises, we felt like the staff read our minds, anticipating and meeting our needs before we asked. We couldn’t imagine a better experience on a cruise ...

Everything I read indicated this was the Best, for starters, the food was not as good as Carnival Cruise line, Expected much better quality for the cost of the Cruise. WIFI was free for only 1 hour total the entire cruise. Speciality Dinning was inpossible to get, even when the dinning rooms were half empty (we checked, looked in at all hours listed). Tried to book reservations on line months ...

traveled as a single with another couple. The food was great, the tours were great, the size of the ship was great. The crew was friendly and efficient, My only issue was that as a single person who had paid double I had hoped to find other single on the cruise but did not,as a result iI did feel awkward and I am sure that it did flavour my enjoyment of the trip. The included airfare was very ...

Having been a Crystal Serenity devotee for four years, we chose the Silversea Silver Cloud since the Serenity was sailing the NW passage. Didn't want to do that. Silver Cloud priced about the same as the Serenity, so figured the experience would be the same. As is spoken in one of the AFLAC commercials: "A big, fat noooo." Dated decor, dirty hull, chipped paint, laughable table on veranda, ...

Fell for all the Propaganda in the Magazines etc where it said 5 Stars and Delux. And also because it was discounted for single Travelers. It was a 13 day cruise not 19, Istanbul to Rome but started in Rome because of " Security Concern " Therefore we had to book another flight from Istanbul to Rome and got to the Ship around 10 PM. The next morning walking around, ...

We travelled on this ship in Oct from Istanbul to Athens. Embarkation was a disaster with no one to meet us, no information about Port process and how to get on the ship and a walk of 500 metres with our luggage. The boat is not the disappointing part- it is well laid out and the meals are above average. The cabins are fine though not all facilities were operating (safe) and some doors were ...

First Time Cruiser

The ship is fantastic! Our first Viking experience, this was the centerpiece of a 45 day "Grand Tour". The crew is outstanding, friendly, attentive and eager to please. The cabins are very comfortable and quiet. We had one of the suites on the top deck with a huge balcony and the views were spectacular. Note: Remember the adage POSH because the coastal views entering ports are awsome. The F&B ...

We were spoiled by Viking in comparison.

Acknowledging we're not "cruise people" and have no real desire to be on a huge ship after spending the afternoon in SanTorini with the crowds getting to the dock, so I have no comparison to the big ships, but we have taken Viking and they were better in every category in comparison; communication, food, tours, structure. WindStar seems to be lacking in communication in a lot of areas. We ...

10+ Cruises

Age 70s

We've traveled on Windstar Sailing ships for 22 years. We've also been on the Pride when it was a Seabourn ship. It is not in top condition under Windstar's operation. Our cabin had rust stains in the window area, around the bathtub and the carpet looked worn. The tub was not draining when we checked in on day one. After reporting that and the stuck shower control those items were fixed. ...

6-10 Cruises

Everything about this cruise is mediocre. This is our 6th cruise and it just didnt do it for us. If not for our room butler Rey, this cruise was a let-down. To make matters worse, we ordered steaks three times and requested medium rare, and all three times medium to medium well arrived. (I thought maybe it will improve!) On our last evening at Le Champagne, my friend's spouse and my wife ordered ...
