Great cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

We wanted to see ancient ruins in Greece and Turkey and we saw a lot of them. We visited Troy and Ephesus among other ports (6 ports in all). The excursions were handled well. We used quiet boxes and they worked great. We didn't feel crowded on the ship. We ate in the dining room every night and usually had a window table. The food and the selections were wonderful. It would be nice if the dining ...

14-Night Ancient Mediterranean Treasures

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

Our Ancient Adriatic Treasures, Istanbul to Venice cruise was wonderful! Those two weeks have been some of the best experiences of our life. We took guided tours of the ancient Greco-Roman-Turkish ruins currently under excavation. We found these very interesting as we wanted to know more about the mythical era when Monsters wandered the earth, and the Gods were in direct contact with humans. The ...

Poor port selection

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Sirena

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

Sacred Holy Tour, spent two glorious days in Jerusalem and Bethlehem to return to our ship located in a commercial industrial port for three days and two nights...it was inconvenient, noisey, dirty, and ugly view. Just so Oceania could save a few bucks. This is a luxury cruise ship treating us like cattle. We had trash bin outside our balcony, working port with trucks running all night. ...

Great as always

We’d never been to Istanbul or the Greek isles. This was our first trip since the pandemic started. Viking was wonderful as usual. Yes the mask thing was aggravating but as far as we know there were no breakouts onboard. Every morning before putting anything in our mouths we were required to spit in a tube and they ran tests for Covid. We felt about as safe as we could. Everything else was just ...

A beautiful new ship

Our second cruise with Ponant, this time on their new ship, Le Bougainville. Our cabin on deck 5 was ready as we embarked early in Istanbul.. we found the cabin to be comfortable, enough space for 2, a comfy bed, lovely verandah. The linen was good quality. The bathroom was ideal, great Hermes products that were replenished daily. An excellent shower. The cabin was cleaned well each day. ...

Service and Food

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Spirit

Everything I read indicated this was the Best, for starters, the food was not as good as Carnival Cruise line, Expected much better quality for the cost of the Cruise. WIFI was free for only 1 hour total the entire cruise. Speciality Dinning was inpossible to get, even when the dinning rooms were half empty (we checked, looked in at all hours listed). Tried to book reservations on line months ...

Interesting Mediterranean Cruise, With Plenty To See and Do

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Spirit

This was our third cruise in as many years on Silversea, and our first time on the Silver Spirit. Our two previous Silversea experiences were on smaller ships, where we were delighted by high level of service at every turn. On those two cruises, we felt like the staff read our minds, anticipating and meeting our needs before we asked. We couldn’t imagine a better experience on a cruise ...

Nice Cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Star

traveled as a single with another couple. The food was great, the tours were great, the size of the ship was great. The crew was friendly and efficient, My only issue was that as a single person who had paid double I had hoped to find other single on the cruise but did not,as a result iI did feel awkward and I am sure that it did flavour my enjoyment of the trip. The included airfare was very ...

Very Disappointing

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Star Breeze

User Avatar

This ship is in need of some TLC particularly to the outside public space. The pool had such a dark brown ring around it it just looked uninviting, even during the hot weather. Management appeared disorganised, for example, when 1 of the 2 tenders went out of service, passengers had to wait for long periods to disembark, there was no contingency plan for such an occurance. Due to very bad ...

Not worth it

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Wind Star

User Avatar

DO NOT BOOK this directly with Wind Star. Once they reeled you in, they never treated you like the customer. We found out other guests paid way less when they booked last minute. We paid top dollar only five months before the cruise and offered us nothing except a small credit to be used only on the ship. Nothing compared to the 66% less than other passengers paid. Moreover, when Wind Star ...
