Before I begin my review of this cruise, I want to say that we are Sapphire with NCL. That means that we have spent more than a few days cruising with NCL and have seen many changes over the past few years. We cruised 46-days with NCL in 2023 alone.

Embarkation in Istanbul was long with a lot of waiting in line. I wish that had gone faster.
Our Ocean View cabin was the last one down the hall and butted up against an equipment room, yet we were not bothered by noise. It was clean and comfortable and there were no mechanical issues of any kind.

Our outside cabin was great - spacious, heaps of storage space, excellent bathroom with non-stick shower screen and screened toilet. Buffet offered great choices but the decor needs updating. Some dishes were very salty. NO WATER, NOR SODA, NOR JUICE COULD BE TAKEN ABORD,

We chose this cruise because of the exciting ports we visited. We visited Israel and it was an amazing place. We stayed over night in Jerusalem and felt quite safe. The place is so full of history and is so powerful, just loved it.

Spent 12 nights on the Celebrity Constellation in October 2016.
For a 14 year old ship she is in very good condition. She was refurbed about 3-4 years ago but is well maintained. She does not have the glamour of some of the newer ships perhaps but that was of no consequence.

We chose this cruise because of the Itinerary, all across the Mediterranean, starting in Istanbul and finishing in Barcelona.
However, this changed before departure, given the events in Turkey, Celebrity decided to skip Istanbul and we shipped from Piraeus in Athens. The itinerary was still good enough and we kept the plans.

Traveled with a group of 8. We arrived in Athens late in the afternoon and the embarkation was very easy. The shuttle provided by the cruise line (not free) was very convenient and much easier than trying to find a cab. The driver was waiting when we arrived and left immediately to take us to the ship.
