Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

The very first reason I chose MSC Splendida was because it was departing the city I lived Ä°stanbul. I did the trip in a balcony cabin with my wife and 2 daughters (6-9 years) and would like to write my observations briefly from this 8-night trip. * Cabin was big enough for our family and the service was very good in the room. * Dining in the open buffet was a little crushed during the ...

We were upgraded to a penthouse suite

It is difficult to give an objective critique because my husband and I lucked out and spent 21 days in a gorgeous penthouse suite with butler and all the perks. (We usually stay in a regular balcony cabin). That being said, we were very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of all of the crew and staff. We have taken more than ten cruises on many different cruise lines and I don't ...

Great cabins, colourful decor, good buffet, great shows, but a few negatives.

Our outside cabin was great - spacious, heaps of storage space, excellent bathroom with non-stick shower screen and screened toilet. Buffet offered great choices but the decor needs updating. Some dishes were very salty. The pub restaurant was a nice place to dine or have a coffee and watch the atrium entertainment but choices were very limited, and service was very slow (almost non existent) ...

Great Ports, good food and service

Many of the ports such as Athens, Aqaba, Luxor, Haifam, Suez Canal are all bucket list destinations and that's why we picked this cruise. At the main dining room they asked if we wanted to share dinner tables and we met a lot of interesting people that way. The main dining room menu is extensive with more than 10 entree selections and the food especially the fish was always well cooked ...

Generally wonderful 21-day cruise

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Norwegian Star

The Star is a beautiful ship, and the price could not be beaten. We booked a guaranteed-rate oceanview cabin, which meant that Norwegian picked the room. Previous experience suggested that, for my wife and me, a balcony was not useful as we don't smoke and we prefer to eat in a dining venue. We received a cabin containing a queen bed and space to walk a few steps, with a porthole rather than a ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

chose this for Israel. The accessible cabin and balcony was better than expecting although having a quick look at cabins in the same grade they did look small. MDR not enough choice on menu for 12 days would have been acceptable on 4 day cruise. Service was very slow. Only had 4 sea days so daytime entertainment should have been easy instead of non existent. Can only hope this is a ...

We booked this cruise a year and a half ago. What fun planning. There were 4 of us, all retired, but active. We picked this cruise because of the itinerary and our past experiences with Celebrity. The ship was originally to depart from Istanbul, but the bombings at the airport there resulted in Celebrity changing our departure port to Athens. I am glad I booked my air thru Choice Air, as they ...

I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and enjoyed all of it. I was a solo female and loved having a cabin to myself. The food was good and my cabin was kept clean and tidy. I used room service several times after a day of long tours. I enjoyed getting up early and getting coffee and watching the sun rise. The ship was quiet and beautiful in the early morning. The tours offered by ...

VISITED GREAT PLACES IN OCT 2016

We chose this cruise because of the exciting ports we visited. We visited Israel and it was an amazing place. We stayed over night in Jerusalem and felt quite safe. The place is so full of history and is so powerful, just loved it. We thought the crew on Celebrity Constellation were great and very helpful especially a waiter in the buffet, his name was Angel and he was just loved by everyone. ...
