10-Night Greece intensive - June 9, 2023, Eastern Aegean from a "city not on the Aegean"
"We are already looking at booking the Azamara Quest for a "Best of the Med" cruise.Highlights of the cruise included an "Azamazing" evening with a stunning venue in a medieval castle with a formal musical performance and a semi-formal "White Night" with a Greek-themed menu and endless buffet table on the pool deck...."Read More

Great cruise with a fantastic crew

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Quest

Just disembarked the Quest after 11 nights from Istanbul to Athens. The experience was top notch and rest assured that the crew is getting more and more up to excellent standards . The boarding process in Istanbul was seemless and we were on board by 1:15. The itinerary was changed just a few days before to switch date of ports in Santorini and Patmos. As a result we had Santorini with a portload ...

We cruised on the Azamara Quest sailing out of Istanbul down the west coast of Turkey and through the Greek Islands. This is probably the best cruise we have taken and the Quest is in excellent shape for an older ship. Quest is said to have been overhauled in 2021. Everything was perfect. Check-in was seamless and the required orientation went quickly on 5. We had a balcony room on the 7th floor. ...

Outstanding: Of our some 30 cruises, both ocean and river, this was among the 3 best overall, and the best in multiple regards particularly food and beverage. (A post-covid cruise we took on 1 of those 3 best was now unsatisfactory.) Considering we are still coming out of covid, and that Azamara recently changed ownership, with attendant start-up problems with the website, the performance of ...

We boarded the Quest in Istanbul, after a problem with the berthing location, which had been changed from Sarayburnu to Karakoy before we arrived, and Azamara had not informed us. We found the berth after a wild taxi ride, reimbursed by Azamara. Our boarding was flawless and hospitable, but we were surprised at the security measures taken ; more than at an airport! Our cabin, port side, Level 6, ...

The Black Sea

This was our second time on Azamara but it was the itinerary that attracted us to the Black Sea - although Azamara's standards sealed the deal. We particularly wanted to see the Crimea and an itinerary taking in Odessa, Sevastopol and Yalta was too good to miss. An added bonus was that after returning through the Bosphorous we then called into Canakkale on the Dardanelles and were able to visit ...

We booked this Azamara cruise last year while on board the Celebrity Summit. I have to agree with all that Mr.Mojorising said. Our fellow cruisers were a very interesting group, the ship definitely caters to upscale and mature (read near or post retirement) travellers. They were all very well travelled. The crew were very much in tune with keeping the customers happy. The ports were, with ...

This was our second time on Azamara and this was just as wonderful as the first. We had the package of included flights and transfers with Azamara and there was no problems at all. While the airport at Istanbul was a bit chaotic, once you were through immigration and security Azamara staff were waiting to direct you to the coaches. We stayed at the Hilton hotel for one which was very nice.Although ...

An Experience To Remember

Although I have cruised on at least eight other cruises, this was the first on a boutique(small ship) venue. We sailed on September 3rd from Istanbul to Athens. I was impressed by many facets, but for my tastes there were things that I missed. The most noticeable impression was the food and wine, which was just amazing. Choosing Prime C and Aqualina for a dinner was even more amazing. The best ...

We finally made it to Greece!

We'd sailed a similar ship to Alaska in 2005 and found it to be comfortable and quite a bit more upscale than others we'd taken. Delicious dining options in addition to prepaid tips and soft drinks make it so appealing. Most of the ports sounded interesting (Canakkale was a waste of time) and spending a couple of days in Istanbul was fabulous. Friends researched it well and made plans for a guide ...

We are a professional couple, ages 52 and 61, and well traveled internationally. We have been 1000% anti-cruising, thinking that cruise boats were floating nursing homes, or floating buffets for drunken rednecks. We have been converted! The same week we returned home, I booked the Paul Gauguin Society Islands for February, and The Baltics on Oceania for next July.We agreed to this cruise on ...
