My wife (32) and I (31) chose this cruise to go on our honeymoon. My dad and stepmom had gone on the old barefoot windjammer's and I always thought the trip sounded incredible. This company did not disappoint! The trip was extremely memorable and enjoyable and we we will cherish it for the remainder of our lives. The boat itself was gorgeous and had three main common areas with plenty of room for ...

This was perfect for our family. The grandsons were totally all about using the rope swing off the side of the ship, paddle boarding, snorkeling, kayaking, night time swimming with the underwater lights, visiting different islands, and just having fun. They felt comfortable with the crew, interacting with them, and loved the popcorn machine. Since they were so involved, the adults, could ...

For my 60th birthday I decided I would go on a trip I had always wanted to try - I decided one week before that birthday and the support staff of IW could not have been more helpful. The trip itself was just truly amazing - the ship is a perfect size - we had 16 guests and yet it felt at times you were all alone and then there were times when you had many new friends. The cabins were small as ...

My husband and I have always talked about taking a windjammer cruise and we hit the jackpot with Island Windjammers. We had planned on 2 nights in Grenada before we boarded the Diamant, but because of weather delays we arrived the night before embarking. The one night at True Blue Resort was wonderful and we'd love to go back and spend more time there and explore Grenada. On Sunday we gathered at ...

I travel with Island Windjammers on their Sagitta ship and had a wonderful trip. Our Capt Matt was incredible, the ops man Andrew took great care of us and the rest of the crew was tremendous. They looked after our needs and were a delight to be around. The food and service were great. Being able to eat a lot of our meals on deck was great. We also had a few meals on shore which was a nice ...

A friend recommended it. I’d never been to these islands. I don’t like large cruise ships. An Island Windjammer cruise looked like a good idea. It was a GREAT idea. The ship: clean, comfortable, safe. I went barefoot a lot and did not get a splinter all week on the smoothly polished deck. My cabin (deluxe with a solo surcharge): perfectly designed. Comfortable beds, bigger bathroom ...

After a very scenic drive from the airport, we arrived at Marigot Bay where Vela was anchored. We arrived a couple of days early in order to explore St. Lucia. Island Windjammers arranged a day tour of the island which was a welcome introduction. The ship is a beauty. You can check out the details here but if I remember correctly, Vela has 8500 square feat of sail and can really move! ...

I chose Island Windjammers because I wanted to FEEL the Caribbean and relive the experience of the old Barefoot cruises. I was not disappointed!! I sailed on the VELA, a true 3 masted sailing ship. The crew, the service, the food, everything was a pure joy. My spouse and I chose their 12 night cruise of the French West Indies and the Windward Islands. Super!!! Our ship was 156' of fun and sun. I ...

Our first Island Windjammer cruise was an exciting adventure

We chose this cruise because it was a personable size schooner with the right amount of people. We liked the islands that were on the itinerary and looked forward to the snorkeling. We arrived 2 days before embarkation, so we were able to check out Tortola before we left for the week. It was well worth arriving early, as there are many things to enjoy on the island, including the experience of ...
