Wonderful itinerary on an old but comfortable ship
"Two more days at sea and we arrived in Greenland but not before a little deviation that our wonderful captain decided to give us at the last minute, due to adverse weather on our original course.1hr), probably because if they didn’t get on board there would be no way for them to join us in Greenland so they would have to cut their cruise in half and return to their homeland...."Read More

Searching for Northern Lights cruise

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Island Princess

We recently completed a 14-day Search for the Northern Lights cruise to Norway. Although we had quite a few days with rough seas, the Island Princess handled the seas well. Our cabin was spacious and the balcony was larger than on many ships. Some of the cabin furnishings clearly need to be replaced. Our mini-suite couch and chair looked very worn. The bed also had clear indentations of where ...

Our journey on the Island Princess was very enjoyable. Although we were disappointed in the declining quality of food, we found the service, friendliness of the staff, food presentation, & entertainment to be excellent. The itinerary was excellent as well. We did an independent tour with Tours of Guernsey which was outstanding. Our guide was very knowledgable, friendly, & professional. We ...

We haven’t cruised with Princess for the best part of 10 years, and never on the Island Princess. Shes a classic style cruise liner and on the larger size of what we have been used to recently. Embarking was quick and flawless at Southampton and we were in our cabin before 1pm. An inside cabin to the rear of deck B, not far from the rear lifts and stairs. The “stateroom” was a good size ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and to travel with Princess again after 7 years trying other lines. Our suite experience certainly made this trip excellent because we were treated royally. Kudos to staff in Sabatinis, select area of main dining room and room steward. Food was very good and we had no complaints. Buffet was often busy but perfect for a quick lunch or cup of tea. Coffee was ...

Great itinerary, generally good execution

Chose the Ft. Lauderdale to Fort Lauderdale world cruise for the excellent scheduled itinerary. Was a bit concerned about the reconfiguration of the ship that replaced the aft lounge with additional cabins. Also concerned about general age and condition of ship based on reviews. The delivered itinerary exceeded expectations, even with a number of ports cancelled due to weather. Princess ...

My husband and I went on the 28 day Grand Israel/Mediterranean/Trans-Atlantic cruise last November/December. We met amazing people and had a fantastic time. Our favorites? We loved the twice-daily trivia competitions as well as the evening musical trivia. We also loved the crew-led games/entertainment. (The cruise director for our first segment was fantastic!) The food was good-to-great ...

We’ve just come back from a fabulous cruise on Island Princess. We had so much fun and made lots of new friends. There were a few niggles, which I’ve highlighted here but nothing that spoiled our enjoyment. Embarkation was really easy and fast. Having used the Medallion app to upload all our details, we sailed through check-in and was on board within 15 mins. Two days before the cruise, ...

Felt three day prior to embarkation witnessed lateral flow test total waste of time and money...test at embarkation far better. Happy Princess stated masks should be worn walking around ship, on tenders and on coach tours but disappointed not fully implemented... about 10 per cent not wearing masks anytime! Very good cabin D421, spacious and comfortable but beverage tray not standard as ...

After a 2 year break for COVID, we finally joined Island Princess for a 14 night circular trip from Southampton. The Ports we visited were all familiar but we had arranged to meet friends in Inverness and Dover and cruising was an easy way to get there. We chose Island Princess based on our previous experience and because it was a smaller ship. Overall, there were no major issues but everything ...
