Bed: The bed was plenty comfortable. Not as nice as my bed at home but it didn’t interfere with my sleep at all. Quality sheets/pillows too. I suggest downloading a white noise app on your phone or tablet to help drown the noise of your neighbors. Bathroom: Is the shower small? Yes, you will not be doing jumping jacks in the shower. But the on-line complaints I read before the cruise were misleading to me. I am 6’3” and 205 lb. (…. okay, 215 lb.) and I didn’t have any trouble at all. Never once hit my elbows on the soap dispensers or had any trouble getting clean. Unless you are over 6’6”, shaped like a bowling ball, or expect co-ed showering, you won’t have any problems. Water: The water pressure was great. I just assumed it would be weak, so this was a pleasant surprise. The water also tasted right. No chemicals, after taste, etc. Indecipherable from bottled water, so I drank tap water the entire time. Television: 24 hour BBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News, and ESPN. A couple other random channels (Discovery?) and a channel of old reruns (e.g., Cheers, Everybody Loves Raymond, and, of course, The Love Boat). Plus a couple channels of fairly recent movies (e.g., The Post, The Darkest Hour, Molly’s Game). You can also check the ships location, etc. In short, if TV is a priority for you, you should probably stay on shore. If you just want to stay on top of the major news stories or catch a little mindless entertainment, this will fit the bill. Balcony: I envisioned myself working on the ensuite deck most of the time. In reality, it was way too windy to enjoy while we were at sea. At port is was nice, despite the occasional toxic whiff of diesel and sewage. While I didn’t spend a lot of time out there, I would definitely get a balcony room again next time. Being able to open the sliding glass door made it much easier to keep the room comfortable, and I really enjoyed the fresh air. Not sure I would have slept as well without it. As much time as I spent in the room, it was definitely worth the added expense. Read Less

Cabin was fine. Large balcony. Did not have good connection with cabin attendant at first. Improved as the cruise went on. May have been a communication problem due to his strong accent.

A cruise to Canada : Cabin C603
A good size cabin for two people with a semi sheltered balcony, about half exposed and half sheltered which worked well. Comfortable but with a small bathroom which was a bit tedious.

Extended balcony on Caribe deck (10). Excellent cabin with lots of storage. Very quiet with cabins both above and below and great viewing when transiting the canal!

VERY RELAXING BUT : Cabin A703
Cabin was nice with lots of closed space. The shower could have been a bit larger. It was hard to move without the shower curtain sticking to your behind!

Cabin: We booked a cabin with a premium balcony this time. The cabin was the same as the normal balcony cabin – queen bed, two bedside tables, TV, mini-refrigerator, desk and chair. The closet space was plenty for two, and the shelf unit was handy. The safe is not large, but it has enough space for wallets, camera, binoculars, cell phones, passports, and small purse. Our cabin Steward, Chet, took great care of us and our cabin. Balcony: We were glad to have the premium balcony. The covered area of the balcony was the same size as the total balcony on the regular balcony room. What we gained on the premium balcony was extended, uncovered space. The balcony width was the same, but the depth of the balcony from sliding door to railing seemed twice as large. We enjoyed the larger balcony so much that we spent more time on the balcony for this cruise. Of course, on a cold day when the ship is moving, it can be cold on the balcony, but when the ship is sitting in a bay for viewing of the glaciers, the balcony is ideal. Bath: The bath in the balcony rooms is small but acceptable. I can see why others are complaining about the soap and shampoo dispensers that have been mounted on the shower wall. Since the shower is only 24” by 30”, it’s easy to keep bumping arms and elbows on the dispensers. If we take a future cruise, we may seriously consider paying more for a mini-suite. Read Less

Lovely, clean, expert and caring cabin steward. Seemed roomy and had a large enough beautiful private balcony. Balcony would have been better had their been footstools. Nice to have a small fridge and tray with glasses.

Very good size with plenty of storage space - balcony space very good with table and chairs. Didn't hear any noise from outside, everything worked well, bed was comfortable - an excellent choice.
