Coastal cruise : Cabin P528
Small cabins and washrooms are tiny. Showers are something else and need to be made bigger. Beds have somewhat improved since the last cruise we were on.

Cabin was clean and tidy. We had a little flooding issue, but Willie our cleaner dealt with it quickly and with no fuss at all. He was extremely friendly and tried to help when he could.

We had booked a mid-ship, obstructed oceanview guarantee. We were upgraded to an unobstructed oceanview; however, our two cabins were assigned at the very rear of the ship F722 and F724. Honestly, the rooms were very nice. These were new rooms added during the 2015 ship remodeling. We usually have a hard time sleeping on the cruise ship mattresses and just on a cruise ship in general; however, our mattresses in this room were fantastic and very comfortable. We did have an egg crate added, but we always do. The gentle vibration of the ship at night actually helped put us to sleep and keep us asleep. I preferred the layout of these rear rooms in which you can pull your chair up to the window (other oceanviews have the bed under the window). The only draw back was that when we got to port on the 3 port days, there was quite a bit of noise as the ship uses its thrusters more and the crew pulls the large tie off robes from the deck below our cabins. Most of the time we had to get up early any way to have the opportunity for a good breakfast before going ashore for our excursions. Our cabin steward was phenomenal. He filled up the ice bucket and placed it in our refrigerator every day. He really did a great job of refreshing our room 3 times a day when we happened to be out of the room. Read Less

This is one of the newer cabins added in 2015 at the rear of the ship. The bathroom is larger than the older rooms. Our friends had room D210 on Dolphin deck (Deck 9) and there bathroom was much smaller. The room had plenty of space. Large window to look out of. The TV was much bigger than the older rooms. Our whole deck (deck 6 - Fiesta) look like it had been redone. Hallway lights much brighter and room decor was newer. The only drawback to this location is when the ship activates the side thrusters, it can shake a little and get loud. Luckily, it wasn't done that much. Usually in port when docking. I would be happy getting this room again. Remember, If you go on an Alaska cruise and stay in your room, you are missing 80% of the experience. Read Less

Size was as expected as well as location. Had problems keeping water in the shower as tended to flood the bathroom. The shampoo and shower gel dispensers are in a really strange place as under the shower as wash out your hand. Plenty of storage space, ice can be provided, we brought wine on board from Barcelona and wine glasses suddenly appeared in our cabin. On our anniversary we had balloons and a card. Anything we needed our steward would sort. It was quiet and comfortable. Read Less
