This was my 8th cruise with Royal Caribbean. This time it just seemed like they weren't interested in anything but, "getting things done" not "making the experience great for the cruisers." The food was mediocre at best. I waited forever at the omelet station and then after I got to my seat and my friend,I went on the cruise with, was already done eating (which happened EVERY time we went ...

My husband and I like to explore when we vacation so we were hesitant to take a cruise but we decided to try it for our 22nd wedding anniversary and we're so glad we did! (Our hotel stay at Days Inn the night before was horrendous. Do not stay at Days Inn!) Getting on the ship took a little time as we expected but they handed out bottles of water. Once we were on, we got to our room with a balcony ...

Let me preface that I have been on about 16 cruises. Various lines. This one on IOTS was definately the worst by far. I book RCCL expecting the best. I was on a Carnival cruise that was by far a better experience. It seems like the ship is under staffed - which seems to permeate every aspect of the cruise. None of the workers seem happy. In turn, they aren't trying to make you happy. Lets start ...

February 2013. We just got back from an 8 day cruise to St. Martin, St. Kitts, Puerto Rico, Haiti private island. I will be brief. Food in dining room and on the buffet was fair at best. The specialty restaurants were excellent. The rooms were typical cabins, tiny showers and a typical balcony with two chairs and a lounge, nice. The facilities and recreation activities were lacking. The shows were ...

We are not new to cruises or easily impressed. The dining and entertainment on the Independence of the sears was superb and as always the service is excellent. I always marvel that preparing and serving that many people in for dinner is accomplished flawlessly, but this year the meals were truly exceptional. I understand that the experience of some will vary but this year we were truly impressed ...

In my opinion, if you want to be pampered, don't cruise RCI

I had great hopes for my first RCI cruise. I am a loyal Celebrity sailor but thought I'd give RCI a try for variety. I was taking a newbie with me and thought the more "active" cruise would be a better choice. Well, I made the wrong choice. Thankfully, my partner said she would go on another cruise so it wasn't a total wash. To start, I asked 3 times by phone for the beds to be put together. How ...

Just returned from vacation on the Independence of the Seas. While the ship is absolutely beautiful, stunning, and unbelievable from the moment you step on board, it is very difficult to enjoy!! The crew members are fabulous, each and every one of them!!!! You want to hug them all goodbye!! However, there are way too many passengers!! You must put yourself on a rigid schedule to enjoy the ...

My Time Dining - Not so much........

We are Platinum C&A with RCCL so are familiar with their quality of service and food. Our last cruise 2 years ago started me wondering about the quality of the main dining food but we booked once again with friends and selected My Time dining which we thought would be most convenient. First night we were told that reservations would be needed for My Time dining, however, no reservations only ...
