Great service, super crowded - we all caught COVID
"She went to one event the first night and found all “teens” 12-17 were lumped together, so she never went back.We are platinum members and I have to say this was probably the best service of any cruise I’ve been on...."Read More

A fun fall break for my large family

My family just returned from our first RC cruise. A little about us - we are a family of 2 adults and 4 kids (plus another college student kid who couldn’t join us). The children are 3,5,14, and 16. We chose this cruise because it worked with our fall break and sports schedules. We don’t go to many shows or bars on cruises. My husband and I prefer to hang out on the balcony and read. My teens ...

Overall Great Experience

I took my 6 and 9 year-olds on this trip while my dear wife stayed behind with our 6-week old. It was a great "dad trip" before school started. We did not even get off the ship in Nassau (as planned). I expected everyone to have the same idea in Nassau and stay on the ship, but no. The pool deck had plenty of space, the pools were nearly empty, and it was even easy to score a hot tub entirely to ...

Great service, super crowded - we all caught COVID

This is our first cruise post pandemic. Our family of four managed to never get COVID these past couple of years…but the cruise did us in. Our throats felt sore during the car ride home, and 24 hours after that, the more severe symptoms kicked in. I did report it to the RCCL post cruise help desk just in case they’re keeping track. Ship was very crowded…always lines in the promenade and buffet. ...

This was a cruise to celebrate my husband's 55th birthday on 5/5. This was our first cruise with RCCL. In an effort to go the extra mile, to celebrate him, I pre-purchased the birthday decorations package (chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate cake & room décor), to surprise him upon arrival. The decorations were nowhere to be found when we entered our suite. I expressed my displeasure to ...

Let me start this review by saying I have cruised a lot - well over 100 cruises. My wife and I have cruised on the IOS a number of times. It’s not often that we’ve had a terrible experience on any ship. However, this cruise is one of the five worst I’ve ever experienced. The dining room service was basically non-existent. My wife and I have never had worse dining service. I’m not sure what ...

Great cruise

We really needed this cruise and returned the most relaxed in a long time! Covid protocols politely enforced and followed. Dining areas basically sat every other table. Boarding and disembarking smoothest ever - less than 30 minutes each! There were about 2000 guests. Food was delicious and better compared to previous cruise on Freedom of the Seas. However, we did walk out of Grease. It was not ...

After having 4 booked cruises that were cancelled in the past year we were so happy to resume cruising. We celebrated my husband's Birthday on RCCL Independence of Seas and enjoyed every moment. Originally we booked a Balcony but we put a bid in for a Junior Suite when we received the Royal Up offer and we got it and it was totally worth it. The Crew and Officers were amazing and they were also ...

We have just returned from 2 weeks on the Indy, departing Southampton on the 10th August, calling at ports in Portugal and Spain. It turned out to be a cruise of 2 parts, the bits we expected to be good were as always excellent, Crew, superb, entertainment, superb, buffet food, good, MDR food, much improved over the last cruise on Oasis, where the food was really awful in the MDR, so perhaps ...

Wow !! My 8th time on Indie and possibly the busiest & worst cruise I have ever been on , no seats in the bars, no seats on the sun deck, bodies lying in every corner possible !! an absolute shambles !!, food in the MDR poor and tasteless, and Windjammer not much better with bun fights every day just to sit down - No fun and certainly NOT relaxing as it should be. Queing for everything even a ...
