Needed to get away for a few days. This seemed like a good choice as the port was only 2 1/2 away and it was a short 4 night break. In all fairness to RCL I knew it was a “family oriented cruise line” but I foolishly believed that children would be in school this early in the school year. Boy was I wrong! I would estimate that there were at 500-700 screaming, crying, running, jumping, coughing ...
My husband and I decided to take a cruise as a belated 25th wedding anniversary to ourselves. This meant no kids, dogs, no cooking or laundry. Just doing whatever we wanted with no time constraints or schedules. We took all the necessary pre-covid testing (2 days prior to sail date) and we were off. We were looking forward to the glorious dining choices that we cruisers have become accustomed ...
So 4 night on Independence of the Seas. Bought deluxe drink package prior to sailing. The amount of missing brands and types of missing or reduced liqueur was amazing. Johnny walker(any) nope. Crown Royal, Nope Tanqueray Nope. Malibu Rum Nope, Miscatto with dinner nope. and for you pool junkies no buckets of beer.
There were just to missing liqueurs to list. the issue ? depends on who you ask ...
Wanted a quick getaway trip from Florida and also try out another cruise line. We've been very loyal to NCL for 15 years and this was only our third Royal Caribbean trip. Price was reasonable, dates worked and it included Perfect Day.
Embarkation was very fast and simple. We arrived during our assigned time, walked right up and gave them our docs including our neg test results and vax ...
We chose this cruise because we love Disney but sometimes with a larger group it can be pricey. We host exchange students so we thought this cruise would be more budget friendly. Let me say you get what you pay for. I heard good stuff about Royal and I was like why not let's try something different.
For starters, the way they communicated about the mask and test in general was not 100% ...
This was a bit of a last-minute change for us. My daughter and I were supposed to go to London, but with the extra covid requirements (testing to go, testing once there, testing to get home) we decided to postpone. We were looking for something to do on her college break and this cruise was available.
Our flight down was awful, but hey, that's certainly not Royal's fault. Check in at the pier ...
This was the largest ship we’ve ever been on. It didn’t feel overwhelming at all. We chose it for price and itinerary (CoCoCay). The ship was clean. Embarking and debarking were super easy. Our steward and MDR staff were excellent. The CD and. Captain were very engaging. The food was good. Some like the lamb shank, cod and beef entrees were excellent. There is no social distancing in MDR or ...
We are Diamond members and loyal to the RC brand for most of our cruise trips. Due to Covid restrictions we have not been cruising since the major outbreak. Now that vaccines are available, and reading about the protocols for travelers on RC, we decided to tip our toes in again on a short 3 night trip out of Port Canaveral, to experience what it's now like to cruise. We were not disappointed and ...
We chose this cruise because it was a nine day, sailed from Galveston, and we had never been on this ship. We have sailed on 25 cruises with four cruise lines. This cruise was special because we have not been able to do much since March 2020. The embarkation, disembarkation and muster drill were AWESOME. Appointments for embarkation made it less stressful and very organized. Disembarkation ...
We had four cruises cancelled in 2020 and 2021 so this was our first since the Pandemic. Everyone over the age of 12 was vaccinated and I was very impressed with the protocols. We have been on over 25 Royal Caribbean cruises so know the types of activities they usually have on board. The ship was running at 50% capacity so there were no big lines or waiting for elevators. It was a relaxed ...
