Fantastic Iceland

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

We have travelled with Hurtigruten before (MS Spitsbergen Norwegian coast) but this was sooo much better. We boarded in Reykjavik and it was a little chaotic - a free for all. We were in an Expedition Suite (ME class) which was lovely. Bed was very comfortable, as were the chairs. There was a minibar fridge which was stocked with soft drinks and beers, 4 bottles of wine and jars of nuts. These ...

Ship is nice and comfortable

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

We chose hurtigruten cruise because of the destination - Iceland, and past experience with Norwegian coastal voyage. Unfortunately, while the ship is great, our outside cabin is specious with lots of storage, the human component is the Disaster! Starting with the ship docking in the different port from what we have been advised by hurtigruten. Hurtigruten made no attempt to contact anyone ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

We chose this cruise as we were interested in Greenland and it's communities. To some degree we also wanted to see the artic wilderness and glaciers and get an appreciation for the damage that global warming is doing.to these sensitive environments. Fridtjof Nansen is an excellent ship being only a couple of years old. The size of the vessel (500 passengers) makes it a relatively intimate ...

This cruise line should stick to ferry service ! Having recently been to Antartica on Swan Hallenic we were expecting much of the same on this Arctic Cruise. We were sadly mistaken for sure, Surly staff in general, they seemed very over worked, except for the bar staff. Nickel and diming for most everything, for example, if you were late for lunch and ate in the restaurant that was ...

Promising Cruise Line with beautiful new ships, but no Butler for the Suites ☹️

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

It's a must to try Hurtigruten Cruise Line, their new additions are just comfortable and beautiful. There is pretty much everything available on board, except Entertainment, which honestly felt great, who needs it on expeditions cruises?! and Butlers for the Suites, which is a Shame. How nice would it be to have your Butler booking a dinner or serving breakfast or, etc.... and for the prices ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

I had, for a long time, a desire to cruise with Hurtigruten and when they offered showcase cruises from UK I booked the first one sailing from Tilbury. The onboard experience surpassed what I had imagined. Embarking was uncomplicated and fairly speedy, considering everyone had to be tested for the Covid 19 virus before boarding the ship. I favoured the idea of checking in on the allocated ...

Amazing ship and great expedition

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

I wanted to see Hurtigruten's new Hybrid cruise ship and experience the expedition cruise concept. This is a great way to travel for the environmentally conscious cruise customer. Check in, embarking and disembarking was always smooth. This is a small ship by cruise standards with 500 passengers but that makes for a much better experience. The ship and quality of the onboard accommodation is ...
