Freestyling is nice with Norwegian Jade.

My husband and I sailed on the Norwegian Jade, April 2nd through 9th, with two other couples. This was our 16th cruise and 3rd with NCL. Our ports were Cozumel, Belize City, Belize and Roatan, Honduras. We drove down from Kansas to Houston's Bayport Cruise terminal the day before and stayed at the Best Western Plus Seabrook Suites. The hotel is very nice, ideal to stay before your cruise as it's ...

This was our 17th cruise with NCL in less than 5 years, the first 16 were just wonderful so we were really looking forward to this cruise also. After this cruise I can say that the Jade is the worst, and not an NCL standard. Most of the staff in common areas were rude, and did nothing to make you feel welcomed. We have been on the Jewel, Pearl, Epic, Getaway, Sun and Sky and have never encountered ...

We just returned from our Norwegian Jade cruise from the Port of Houston to Cozumel, Belize, and Roatan, and had a lovely birthday celebration for my wife, accompanied by our daughter and her boyfriend. Highs: Port of Houston was very convenient (4 hour drive from Austin), with the fastest embarkation we've ever experienced. Also appreciated the convenient and reasonable parking, so close we ...

This was a spur of the moment trip for us, and we the price was unbeatable, even for a balcony room. As this was to be our second cruise on NCL, we had high expectations. Our previous cruise with them had been wonderful (NCL Jewel) so we were really excited. Embarkation was a breeze! The Houston terminal knows how to move people swiftly through the check-in process, something Carnival needs ...

First Time Cruiser • Age 30s

For my first cruise experience, I traveled with a group of 20 (aged 20-35) friends on the Norwegian Jade. They chose this itinerary because the embarkation port was in the location closest for the majority of us and the price point was great for our group. Included in all of our packages was the ultimate beverage package, something we all made good use of. My fiancé and I had about 3 drinks a ...

At the last minute we decided to book a 7 night cruise on NCL out of Houston. I had some time off and the price was fantastic so away we go. We booked an inside room guarantee only 10 days before departure and got it for $299pp with tax and port charges it was $810 for the week. Houston is close enough we can drive making it a pretty inexpensive week. We booked online with no problems, ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Caribbean Princess

We took this cruise with the expectation of going thru the Panama canal locks. Found out that the ship was too long. Having cruised on NCL,RCCL and Celebrity, we were disappointed in the overall lower quality compared to competitors. #1. Balcony cabin size is not worth the additional cost. #2. This ship has too much vibration in the stern area. #3. Several areas had foul odors ...

We are a 65 and 74 year old couple that have done many cruises. Only once before on Princess many years ago, and we've done 9 Celebrity cruises, 1 NCL, 1 Costa, several RCCL, Windstar, Azamara and a Uniworld river cruise. It is necessary (in fairness) to share that this was our first large ship in about 5 years- we have been doing Azamara and Windstar which are both substantially smaller than ...

Our daughter in law drove us to the terminal and there was a short wait for someone to assist my husband in a wheelchair. Our room was ready when we got onboard so we dropped off our 'stuff' and headed to the dining room for a very nice lunch. We were on the Caribbean Princess in October from Quebec to Houston. The cabin we had this time was next door to the one we had in October so we had the ...

We thought we done a lot of research before choosing our cruise and travelling from Sydney Australia with my Adult sons and their partners to Houston Texas. Well were we wrong!!!! Before I criticise this ship I would like to point out we have done over 20 cruises, mainly in Australia and Europe with RCCL & NCL, so what I have to say is only compared to what we have done in the past. The ...
