Our family of 22 did our annual family vacation on the Emerald Princess. Everyone left very disappointed. The way the staff treated us was so RUDE. We wanted to celebrate a private birthday party and were very disappointed with the event. First of all, they don't even have a party planner! You end up talking to random people charging you way too much for everything. 200 dollars an hour for a DJ? ...
We booked the Haven 2 bedroom well in advance. I was told by reservations if a better deal came along, they would honor the promotion. That did not happen. In Jan they started marketing the three bonuses. So I called to get them added and was denied. So I am paying for one of the most expensive cabins and those paying 1/2 the price or less get free restaurant upgrades, drink packages and more ship ...
There is very little to recommend. We were hoping for the luxury vacation advertised because we live in Houston and would like to take advantage of our home port. Our biggest complaint ironically, since its about cruising "choices" with Princess was the lack of variety and the boring nature of the food, the entertainment and the staff. Our mini suite steward provided exceptional service, and so ...
We took this cruise but I was mainly disappointed, especially with the food on board. The only good meal we had was at the steak house, the fillet was very good but when we went to the dining room the food is basically cafeteria food. For this reason, when we hit port we try to eat off the ship since we can generally find much better food in the ports.
Service was ok, but they did have a "happy ...
Left from Houston with 9 others (5 veranda cabins) for our 7 day cruise to Cozumel, Roatan & Belize on November 30, 2014. I had gone on this same cruise two times before (last year) and my husband had gone once before. Upon arrival at the terminal we quickly realized that we were on a floating old-folks home. There were countless walkers, scooters and wheelchairs. The embarkation was pretty ...
We got to Houston a day early so we would be on time. We were suppose too disembark at 4 Pm on Nov 16 but we were held up till 11 am on the the 17th because 3 busloads of people were held up at the airport. We don't mind waiting for people but because of the delay our port of call in Roatan Honduras was cancelled and a full day of sailing was cancelled. Our new port was to be Costa Maya. Well ...
I just returned today from 5 days on the Emerald out of Houston. I am elite status and I have to say it was the worst cruise I have ever taken on any cruise line. The ship stinks. Your room, the elevators and the bathroom smell. The Princess singers and dancers were not very talented. The activities were minimal. Not enough to do. Mainly free karoke, and bingo. The food has really gone down in ...
We were scheduled to depart Houston for a 5 night cruise at 4:00pm on November 11th. This was our very FIRST Princess cruise. We have taken several other cruises with 4 other cruise lines. We arrived early at the terminal - about 11:15am because it looked like it was about to rain. We booked a mini-suite, so we had early embarkation at 12:00. They opened the doors at 11:45 because it had started ...
just came home form a princess cruise out of Houston
started ok, picked up at the airport and taken to the four seasons, transport arrived on time and was good, that is where it ended.
the bus to the ship was 90 minutes late, the elite line was SLOWER THAN THE REGULAR LINE to get on,
sunday and Monday the fast food places had lines on 30 to 45 minutes, could not get a drink at the pool, no ...
This was my fourth cruise, but my first time cruising with Norwegian. The boarding process in Houston was simple and went fairly quickly. We chose this embarkation port because we were able to drive there. Driving through Houston was great, minimal traffic and easy route.
The staff were very friendly and had great attitudes. We saw the cruise director frequently throughout the trip and he was ...
