This was our first Princess cruise and my 3 rd total. This will definitely not be our last Princess cruise as we were totally wow'd by the wonderful service, the great dining and the entertainment.
Embarkation couldn't have been easier. My husband and I dropped our bags with the porter, he parked across the street in front and we were on the ship in 15 minutes.
We found our stateroom ...
Compared to our first sailing with Princess, this ship did a fine job with service. The Caribbean Princess was also in better condition. On the Grand Princess (sailed 2011), the stewards and dining room staff were so overworked they appeared feverish with exhaustion. While the crew certainly had to work hard on this sailing, they appeared to have been allowed time to sleep. Special kudos to ...
Having read a couple of negative reviews I feel compelled to balance it, in favour or Princess who, in our opinion were impeccable. There is one recent review that frankly after reading the 6th sub heading I stopped, and it says to me nothing in this world would seem to please that person.
For us - the service was second to none - the food was outstanding - the cabin was admittedly tiny, but ...
We have cruised with Princess many, many times and this was one of our only two so-so experiences. First, the positives. The waiters, stewards, and other workers were great...very accommodating and friendly, and the cruise staff was terrific. No complaints there. There were lots of things to do and the evening entertainment was very good. We also very much enjoyed the itinerary. We only went ...
This was our sixth cruise and my parents first. We took our two children, ages 5 and 7 as well.
We drove from the Dallas area and my parents drove from San Antonio. We all stayed at the Best Western Suites close to the port since they offer free breakfast and parking. The hotel was ok, but I did see moldy spots in the bathroom, very poor construction/repair work done around the hotel that ...
We are experienced cruisers, but this is the first time we have ever cruised with Princess. 29 members of our extended family joined us over Spring Break to help celebrate our parents' 60th wedding anniversary. The staff was very helpful in making the celebration -- and the entire week -- special.
The food in the Palms dining room was very good -- in fact, the best lobster I've ever eaten. ...
This was my first cruise and my husband's first as an adult. We enjoyed it very much. It was very low stress and relaxing. We plan to do more cruising the the future.
Ship: The ship was clean, well maintained, and nicely appointed. While each bar had its own vibe and decor, the three dining rooms were all very much the same. Once I was in a dining room, I couldn't tell which one I was ...
This was my first Princess cruise. Compared to my other cruises all on Carnival I rated this one average. I was surprised at how much ship movement I could feel, bouncing from wall to wall on occasion. The staff was overall very helpful and pleasant. It was disappointing that the public area bathrooms often did not work (only 1 stall for women outside of the theater-really?) The food was ok, ...
My husband and I sailed for our anniversary last week out of Houston on the Caribbean Princess. It was our third cruise, second on Princess. This trip was NOTHING like our experience on the Tahitian Princess 13 years ago. We decided to upgrade to a mini suite for the larger shower/bathtub combination. Overall, we had a great time in the ports and enjoyed spending time together. I have never ...
Travel from Hobby airport to Kemah a day early, close to terminal took over 2 hours and $80+ on I45. This was twice what we expected at 3pm on a Saturday. Traffic was bumper to bumper the whole way. Perhaps the cab driver took advantage of our situation. We pulled up multiple other routes on Google but he did not change his route. The return to the airport from the port only took 35 minutes on ...
