AJ’s Sloth and Monkey sanctuary. We booked this on our own in advance. Shore excursions to these places were longer and more costly. We got transportation and the animal experience for $35 pp. Lots of fun and guide was great.

A Nice Family Getaway

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Jade

It was nice to depart from Houston as we live in Dallas. I will miss having that port as an option. Embarkation and debarkation were very smooth and we much appreciated seating while waiting to embark. We had a small, inside cabin for four which was fine as we prefer to spend our time out on the ship anyway. We liked the freestyle dining quite a bit. With assigned dining on other cruise ...

Suprised I liked it so much! Took my 16 yo son for Spring Break. Cozumel, Belize, and Rotan. The room was decent (interior - no frills), good entertainment, and pretty good food. The workers were all friendly and really nothing to complain about. Dining was in the "free" places (did not pay extra for any meals) and all were good, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Excursions were Playa Mia ...

Norwegian Jade Exceeded High Expectations

A shame the Jade is leaving the Houston market,,,,,,,it will be sorely missed!! Wife and I shared a Mini-Suite with her mother and we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of space we had. Other reviews I have read in the past "pooh-poohed" Mini Suites as being just a Balcony with a Curtain and a tub in the bathroom. I found that having an extra 80 sq ft or so, compared to a Balcony Cabin, ...

My family and I have seven times now, though never on NCL before. We have enjoyed every one of them in their own way and this cruise was no exception. The entertainment was among of the best we have seen. The food overall was good and flavorful everywhere we ate on-board and there was plenty of things to keep us occupied during the day. The problems as I see them were small but they build up ...

My husband and I booked this cruise because we had never been to Houston and wanted to see if it would be a good place for future cruises. We have cruised on most of the major cruise lines except Holland America and Disney. We are Platinum Latitudes passengers. We did not have a good beginning to our trip since our flight from Halifax at 5:30 AM on Air Canada was delayed (and then cancelled) ...

This was our first cruise, I took my mom ( who is 79 and needs a wheelchair or scooter to get around) - and I was disappointed and also some things were great. However, more disappointed than great. Customer service needs a lot of help....even a little bit goes a long way. RUDE and not helpful AT ALL. ******* Beware I am going to write a novel ************** Check in was amazing - ...

My DH and I were sailing with our son, DIL and 4 year old grandson. The Bayport Cruise Terminal is easy to get to and easy to park. Many complain about the industrial area and it's true, but if you go a bit further south on 146 you will find a very nice tourist area. It's close to Kemah Boardwalk, and the Houston Space Center, many restaurants and family entertainment venues. We didn't have ...

Ate in the Jasmin Garden (Asian fusion menu) first and last night...excellent food and service. Dined in the MDR Grand Pacific room all other nights . Service was top notch and food was wonderful . We just had to get away from the cold (we live in Canada) and we wanted to try something new, so we decided to cruise for the first time. It was the best decision we could have taken by far. Having two young boys to entertain, our vacations are very active (Disney, Universal, Six Flags, etc.) and often we come home feeling a little tired. We were a little afraid that our kids would get bored on a ...

Did not like the forced free style dining. This does not allow you to get to know your waiters and therefore the added touches to your likings is missing..... additionally it is very dificult to share tables to meet new people..... and I felt the overall food quality was "lacking" at best. There were no special plates for the day..... pretty much every day options with no much variance.... dietary ...
