Bad Communication and Financial Department

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Jade

This was the Kid Rock Cruise, which the the Sixthman group did extraordinary stuff. NCL was horrible with communication. They took my credit card, charged it and then told me I didn't have a credit card on file, shut me off after I bought an unlimited beverage package and then did a "pre authorization on my account AFTER I had already setttled my charges, therefore totally deleting all funds on ...

Fun and Relaxing

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Caribbean Princess

We got a brochure that had an excellent price and a time frame we liked. We also liked that we could fly to Houston non-stop. The tips were paid by Carnival so that was another selling point for us. We also have wanted to see Paris and this was on the itinerary. The shore excursions that we went on were wonderful. The train ride from Hamburg to Berlin was excellent. The restaurant where we ...

Transatlantic Princess Experience

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Have used princess on several occasions on repositionings instead of flying. Fact that I live in Houston made it very convenient eliminating flying. Room was as expected and itenerary was interesting including stops in Liverpool, Holyhead and Germany stops not previously visited. Biggest issue was I prefer smaller ships and Carribbean Princess is very large. There was an over abundance of elite ...

Another Excellent NCL Atlantic Crossing

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Jade

I did the 13 night Atlantic Crossing joining in Miami and disembarking in Barcelona The Norwegian Jade is one of my favourite ships and NCL my favourite line from a solo traveler's point of view. Despite now being 10 years old, the Norwegian Jade still appears in tip top condition both in the public areas and my Oceanview Cabin. The only negative would be the fact that the Norwegian Jade is ...

Great NCL Jade Experience

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Jade

A fantastic deal was offered through Travels with Alan. It included all transfers, specialty dining and a beverage package. We could not resist. This was my 9th cruise and it was the BEST ! The ship is not as grand as some of the newer ships but it was pristinely clean. The venues were filled with fun people enjoying great music. The activity director offered a wonderful selection of things to ...

Part of a great vacation!

We had a blast on this cruise, before and after. Yes, the Jade is dated, but she is also do for a retrofit shortly. That said, we did not have any trouble with any systems in our cabin (5601), just things looking a bit worse for the wear. The bathroom was actually one of the nicer ones that we have had, and felt far less cramped than some we've had. The ports were great (though we're rather ...

My wife and i had a great time on the Jade.I thank NCL our hosts, because all was first class. The food and service was top class. The shows especially Elements were outstanding, thanks to all who worked so hard to please us. Armen is a good entertainment director, and works hard. We dined in Alizar mostly and the steaks were so good, no room for pudding.Upstairs buffet was also good,All the bar ...

Would I transatlantic again? Oh yes.

My transatlantic cruise on the Jade was a lot of fun. I met some really great people the first day at the solo cruiser group as well as at night at bar city. Speaking of bar city, I thoroughly enjoyed having cocktails down here. The entertainment that would play in the evening (they had two really talented guitarists) was very good. The main showroom entertainment as usual was hit or miss. ...

Enjoyable first Transatlantic on the NCL Jade

Being Platinum Latitude members, we have sailed quite often to the Caribbean and Alaska, but our first transatlantic repositioning cruise on the NCL Jade out of the Houston port was simple and easy. Taking this cruise for the first time was a great adventure. Some surprises, for example, how calm the waters of the Atlantic remained for most of the trip, made for an enjoyable crossing. The Jade is ...

Great First Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Jade

User Avatar

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

This was my first cruise so I have nothing to say except it was outstanding. I cannot image anything better. The people, the games (LRC), and the rooms were large and comfortable. That being said, The food was great, but not up to my standards, especially at the french restaurant. For example, the snails were not washed well (grit and sand) and they were soaked in plain butter without garlic. ...
