We chose this cruise because we wanted to go to Hawaii and cruise back home. Also that we could spend Australian Dollars on the ship.
The crew were fabulous, always friendly. Food was good. Entertainment good. The crossing was mostly calm with a couple of days where the sea was rough, but the ship handled the bad weather very well.

We chose this cruise for the embarkation port Honolulu and the ports we visited. The ship was repositioning and the time of year was perfect. It was very smooth sailing and the weather was very warm. We have never cruised Carnival Cruise Line before and were pleasantly surprised in a lot of ways but also disappointed in some ways as well.

Cabin was great larger than most port hole cabins, would of been nice to have another port than Picton straight after Wellington didnt get any real feeling for NZ from those 2 ports. We wanted to go to New Zealand and Australia. Overall we enjoyed the trip. However, we generally prefer smaller ships. For this trip, the Solstice was a good choice.
Our room was a designated handicapped room with balcony (we didn't require a handicapped room, but it was available and the shipboard location was good). The room size was generous for a cruise liner.
