They had norovirus on the ship on the Australian leg, but did not even advise the guests on board at the time.
Guest relations were not consistent with their information.

The solstice is a really beautiful ship well laid out and we liked how everything was easily accessed from midship elevators .

Good news first: cruise was fine; the tour past the active volcano at night was breathtaking. It was a hassle to have the crew serve everything, but if it kept the ship healthy, then people should get over the inconvenience.

This 18 day cruise gave us an opportunity to get to know the RCI crew over multiple interactions. It wasn't one single issue, but rather the culture and attitude towards customer service -- reinforced several times -- that leads me to avoid RCI for any future cruise unless there is evidence of a turnaround in customer service practices.

OK. I waited a few weeks to calm down before I wrote this...
Bottom line is, it's bad. It's really bad. If you have ever been on ANY other cruise line, then you would NOT want to go "Freestyle" or "America". I learned that these are really code words for: "Instead of staff who care, we hire kids out of high school and then we chalk up the poor service to "freestyle" cruise experience."
