Huge Disappointment

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Nothing good to say about the ship, food, entertainment, service or staff ! Would give a negative rating if I could. Had to literally wipe out my drawer to put my clothes in on day one, full of dirt and hair. Service was poor, food was lousy, staff unfriendly. Had previously been on a Royal Carribean cruise in the past and the ship was beautiful, the service was wonderful and the food was great, ...

Carnival, what has happened to you?

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Carnival Legend

My husband and I took the 11 day, May 7th repositioning cruise around the Hawaiian Islands and then on to Vancouver. This was our 3rd cruise with Carnival and were excited that we had made the gold level. Our prior Carnival cruises were in the Caribbean and they were wonderful; so we had a point of reference and knew the basics of how to enjoy cruising. We had never been to Hawaii before ...

Very Disappointed

Celebrity dropped the ball on Solstice. We've cruised with Celebrity before and were quite happy but this cruise left us disappointed and we will not travel with them again. The buffet had the same food everyday for lunch and dinner, something in red sauce and something in brown sauce. The formal dining room was just as bad, food cold and dry and no vegetables unless you ask for them. ...

Money Grabbing Cruise

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Having done 20 cruises went on a celebrity cruise in April for the first time and will certainly be the last no Laundrette on board, could not bring a travelling iron on-board. Drinks very expensive $12 for a small glass of house wine ( £8 ) had to pay for fresh orange juice. At breakfast. Room service diabolical. First island by tender took nearly 3hours to get off ship, no coordination ...

Ship needs to be docked for repair

This is the worse cruise my family and I have ever been on. We were told royal carribean was a top class ships to go on better then p&o. Well it was huge let down from the day we steped on the ship. The cabins are not designed for more then two people, however they let you book four in a room. You are expected to sleep on the floor. The sofa pull out bed is no bed it's wood frame no mattress on ...

NOT 5 Star !! Not Solstice , Not Good enough, Uncaring

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

After a wonderful experience on the Solstice last year we booked - at more money per day - on the Millennium from Ensanada to Hawaii and then on to Sydney. What a disappointment and its not the ship. The Cruise Director was on an ego trip, he failed to properly direct his staff and only wanted to tell everybody that they were having a good time we had a small issue which , frankly he wasn't ...

As this was our 2nd cruise we where looking forward to enjoying our trip, the first on Celebrity Century was great, but unfortunately this was POOR when you compare the 2 cruises. We upgraded from Veranda Stateroom to Concierge Veranda Stateroom our room was of a poor standard, curtains coming of the rails, handles coming off the doors, it was eventually rectified but unfortunately a little too ...

I agree with the last person who wrote a review. This ship of under staffed and they are under a lot of pressure from the powers above. When ever there is a problem no one is interested, they always have to speak to their boss, who then had to speak to their boss who then had to speak to their boss and that went on forever. Food a lot of it but not quality, same thing every meal, after the third ...

WE boarded ship 3 hours late due to Noro virus on previous leg of the repositioning cruise. We knew of the delay thru CC, X never notified us even though many were notified by X up to 3 different ways of the late boarding. We didn't get to our rooms until 5:30. X said it was due to ship cleaning, but we also were told that previous leg had major luggage and immigration problems on the Sydney ...

First Celebrity Cruise

Our first Celebrity cruise and we were delighted because we got such a great deal on the cruise itself and the airfare. So it was a no-brainer when we decided to visit beautiful Hawaii and check it off the old bucket list. We flew from New York the day of the boarding (it was a good flight but long) we finally arrived at the port around 4:00 in the afternoon and we were aware of the issues the ...
