3rd time doing the Hawaii to Vancouver cruise

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

We are a couple in our early 60's, newly retired. We have done this itinerary twice before. Each time the cost is higher, but the # days is shortened. This was a B2B cruise for us, since we boarded the ship in Sydney Australia for the TransPacific repositioning. We stayed in the same cabin (9616), and had the same fabulous cabin steward (Boren Franover), so we were very happy with the ...

Our first demoralising cruise with Celebrity after many good ones

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

We have sailed with Celebrity for years, enjoying many of their ships and cruises. We booked this cruise, starting in Hawaii and going on to Canada. It's fair to say that we are now unkeen to remain with Celebrity. Starting by saying that the room steward and our waiters were fabulous. I have simple dietary needs. Well, simple to explain, but apparently almost impossible to deliver on ...

Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Regatta

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and our previous experience on Oceania. However, our cruise on the Regatta left much to be desired. We found the service in the Main Dining Room to be extremely slow. The General Manager aboard indicated that their goal is 1-3/4 hours to 2 hours per table for dinner. We had 2 dinners where it took over 2-1/2 hours to finish. I attribute this to a ...

Panama transit was fabulous

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Regatta

This was our first cruise on Oceania. The itinerary hit several of our bucket list locations and we had always wanted to sail on a small ship, so booking was kind of a no-brainer. The prior cruise had been hit with the Norovirus and the first 5 days the crew was working overtime on sanitation (less service for the passengers). We totally understood that and with a 24-day cruise assumed we ...

CDC Restrictions, Medavacs, Missed ports. and Lack of Communication

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Regatta

I chose this cruise for the itinerary. Not a fan of sea days, but the ports were interesting, as was the panama canal and Havana stop. Embarkation in Honolulu was good and bad. There was no one to help us with our luggage when we got to the port. We were told this isn't the norm. The rest of the embarkation was good getting on the ship, but due to the CDC restrictions, we were unable to ...

Beautiful ship, doesn’t make up for boring days at sea

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Chose this cruise for itinerary and package deal through travel agency. 1) Lacking in day time entertainment & activities. By 5th sea day, was bored. After 9th, weather cold and couldn’t go by the pool, I was exasperated and incredulous as to how little there was to do. Celebrity could learn a lot from its parent company, Royal Caribbean, in this department. 2) Bands for night ...

Is Celebrity going downhill?

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

We have booked Aqua Class cabins since introduced on the Solstice. Check in was easy, enjoyable (with happy checkers) and fast. Then check in process took maybe a total of 10 minutes. The embarkation was handled very poorly. A woman named Francine (who was very clearly stressed out and unorganized) was directing the embarkation process. She herded us to a seating area she told us was for Aqua ...

Not the best of our Celebrity cruises

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

.We have been on more than 20 Celebrity cruises, but this was our first cruise on Celbrity Solstice. We wanted to see Hawaii, as well as enjoy a repositioning cruises. We have always enjoyed the evening's entertainment, especially the production shows, but not this time. The production shows were the worst we have ever seen on a Celebrity cruise. The food was fine, but if you want ...

Penny pinching by RCI and the Hawaii port authority undermined the good crew

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

This was our first repositioning cruise. Wenenjoy sea days, don't get sea sick and looked forward to the 5 day voyage from Maui to Vancouver. However, the strong head winds and cool temperatures meant the wind across the deck often exceeded 40 knots which made all outdoor activities difficult. We enjoyed the mini golf but the wind and rolling boat made it a bit of a lottery. The problem was, ...

12 night Hawaiian repositioning trip to Vancouver

We were traveling with friends who were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. It was their first cruise. I kept having to tell them that "it usually isn't like this." Total chaos getting onto ship. Although I understand it was not the ship's fault that it took over 3 hours standing in the hot warehouse for 3+ hours with 2000+ people with no water or air, someone should have been able to ...
