My first long cruise

To be honest, 14 days would have been plenty enough aboard this ship. Also, my first time sailing with RC, I can tell you beforehand I'm extremely satisfied and booked another RC cruise with a shorter duration, Getting on in Honolulu was easy enough, they had me apply for NZ and AUS visa on my phone in the cruise terminal before boarding, they informed me that I would need to disembark without ...

I chose this cruise for 2 reasons firstly I wanted to go to Hawaii and shop and cruise back to avoid excess luggage charges from all my purchases, and secondly I wanted the package deal that included the flights hotel stay pre cruise and for the right price of course, I found what I wanted with cruise away, can highly recommend them. Anyway our first 3 cruises were with RC, and only started ...

We had wanted to do a transpacific for many years and when Australia finally allowed us to leave the country again post covid, the first thing we did was book a cruise! This was our first cruise on this class of ship and Quantum did not disappoint. Big and beautiful and spotlessly clean with so many venues where we could be in the thick of the action or find a quiet corner depending on our ...

The Transpacific cruise had been on our bucket list for a while and we booked it in 2019, then Covid hit and we kept pushing it forward until Australia opened up their borders. The Ovation of the Seas is a lovely ship and the largest we have ever been on. Overall the sailing was good, although having 12 sea days (only 5 ports of call with one stay over) is a bit tough. We love cruising, but ...

Great embarkation, good cruise, disastrous disembarkation

I was really surprised at how easy embarkation was, after having stood in long lines with other cruise lines, this was really easy if you had done the electronic "pre-check in". Great idea RCCL, keep it up. The cruise itself was good, but as it was a relocation cruise, there were a lot of sea days. I have done such a cruise before (with a different cruise line), so I knew that it was very ...

We spent one week in Waikiki before our cruise back to Australia. We had a great time. Boarding the ship was super easy. Never been easier in fact. I’m a celiac so I was worried about my food choices but the dining room team looked after me. I don’t think there were as many choices in the windjammers. Coffee has improved a little. Room attendant was amazing as always. I don’t think there was ...

Overall this was a good Cruise. Some adjustments need to made by Royal Caribbean to enhance the Cruising of future patrons. 1. Bands were in the Centrum. This was somewhat disappointing, no area to Dance & not enough seating. Should have been in the Colony Club, where there was plenty of seating & a large dance floor. It remained empty on most nights. 2.The Dog House was a waste of space. ...

We flew from Newark NJ to Honolulu on United. We were in First Class and had the lie down flat seats. They were the most comfortable seats I have ever experienced! Crew was really nice! Speedi Shuttle not a good company. They are rude, disorganized. Hawaiian Hilton Village. We loved this hotel, and returned for our post cruise! Perfect location... but be prepared for high ...

Relaxing Way to Reach Australia

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

We chose this cruise as a way to get to Australia in a relaxing way without jet lag. This was our 7th cruise and 5th with RCL. We enjoyed the cruise but did find both stretches of 5 sea days a little challenging. The staff were excellent Raj and Mohammed in Windstar outstanding, also our stateroom attendant Eko. We ate in Chops Grille once, not the best service but steaks were good. Giovanni’s ...

All in all a great holiday on Radiance

hi, We decided on this cruise as we have done the reverse cruise in 2013 on Rhapsody of the Seas and loved it. We had a good time on Radiance but found a few things that in our opinion could be improved. First the good bits. Embarkation was smooth although lengthy. Prob around 1 hour before we actually saw the ship. Our stateroom was very spacious and had lots of hanging space and ...
