Right from the start you get a feeling how things are going to turn out. Call it quirky, I don't know, but it happens. We are on Diamond level & get the odd perk or two, but just getting on the ship was a little more difficult than usual. We also had a suite which put us virtually straight through check in, but some how they shafted us to the wrong line & yes we got caught up. A few questions & a ...

From the moment we boarded we knew this would be an experience like no other, and talking to other passengers everyone felt exactly the same. We had a junior suite with none of the extras as discussed on the website - eventually asking for dressing gowns. Cruise information on excursions was non existent and we were told to look it up on the internet if we wanted basic information (eg. how far to ...

I agree with the last person who wrote a review. This ship of under staffed and they are under a lot of pressure from the powers above. When ever there is a problem no one is interested, they always have to speak to their boss, who then had to speak to their boss who then had to speak to their boss and that went on forever. Food a lot of it but not quality, same thing every meal, after the third ...

we enjoyed this cruise and we made friends with a good crowd which helped to make it enjoyable if we had been alone it may have been a bit disappointing especially the first week when everything seemed to finish early or every where we seemed to go to see a band we managed to get there when they were on a 15 min break with no music to fill in at least if the band isn't on we should have good ...

Overall the cruise was good, apart from 4 things. 1. Extreme vibration at times, which was not there when we sailed on the Rhapsody previously. 2. We bought 2 soft drink packages, but had a lot of trouble getting served when in the bars, or the theatre. Waiters would take our order, and place a napkin on the table, and at times we would then be forgotten about as we would see them serving other ...

We boarded the ROTS in Honolulu in September with the prospect of 11 days at sea and 3 days in French Polynesia before we got to Auckland, New Zealand. The length of time at sea I must admit I thought would be a bit daunting and I wasn't sure how it would go. Suffice it to say, that we arrived in Auckland and were very reluctant to disembark and just wanted to keep sailing. It was ...

We met on a ship, the Oronsay, on a voyage to England in 1956 - and have loved ships ever since. CruiseCritic over the past few years has added a new dimension - reading about each ship in the months before we sailed - what passengers enjoyed, what they criticised, what would it be like for us? Costa Allegra was great for us, in spite of what we had read, Dawn Princess to celebrate our Golden ...

After a tiresome flight to Honolulu we thouroughly enjoyed the 4 days there, the highlight for me was Pearl Harbour. Boarding the ship for the cruise back to Sydney we first noticed how well appointed our cabin was,it had a reasonable sized balcony and was well set out, plenty of room. The evening entertainment was the Schooner Bar for us,however we felt that nightlife for the 35 to 55 yo age ...

First class Staff in Honolulu made embarkation a pleasure. It was obvious that they had had a lot of experience. Process was super efficient and stress free, even though we chose not of use services of a porter to shorten the queue. We were pleasantly surprised to find our cabin ready, with some of our luggage already delivered and to be directed to lunch at the Windjammer (5 pm departure). We ...
