A well organised, professionally trained crew makes all the difference

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

had previously cruises NZ with Radiance and found the cabin clean, food great and entertainment sufficiently good to balance out the cruise. We had any time dining but found the windjammer food different menus good to suit our taste and we had the drinks package so good morning coffee, fresh juice and cocktails by the pool were all good. The ship was late leaving Hawaii but the sailing was ...

Just Perfect

This cruise was a long time in the planning and didn't disappoint. After spending 2 weeks in Canada and 5 nights in Hawaii, this was the perfect way to return home to Sydney calling at Pappete, Moorea, Bora Bora, Wellington and Picton. Arrived at the Honolulu cruise terminal around 11.00am and although departure wasn't due until 10.00pm (actual 2.00am) we were immediately allowed to board and ...

Brilliant Return to RCL

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

I have been punnishing RCL for 12 years, since they completely ignored my complaints about my experience on the Majesty of the Seas in 2004. This itinerary and my new bride was the only reason I decided to try them again. I wasn't expecting much since Radiance is an older boat without a recent refit. I must say we were pleasantly surprised with few exceptions. The positives: The Solarium is ...

Just adored Bora Bora

We chose this cruise because we had done the same one 2 years before and loved it. Our cruise was actually booked for us by a friend (while onboard Legend of the Seas) the day it became available for sale, this was 16 months before sail date. Radiance of the Seas is a beautiful ship, sure she is showing her age a little bit in parts but it is a ship and of course has some wear and tear from ...

Another Lovely Radiance Cruise

This was our fourth cruise on Radiance, and the ship is lovely as ever. Embarkation and disembarkation were as smooth as could be, and the service was up to the usual excellent standard we have come to expect on RCL. Any problem we experienced was attended to immediately (they were only very minor.) Food in the Windjammer where we ate breakfast and lunch each day was of an excellent standard, ...

Fantastic Trans Pacific Crossing

This was a 17 night crossing of the Pacific from Honolulu to Sydney via Tahiti and New Zealand. The service was great, the food was great. We went to Chops Grill, Giovani's and the Samba Grill. Food and service was top notch. The ports in French Polynesia were beautiful. Wellington was windy and it rained in Picton but you can't do anything about the weather. Most of the crossing was calm with 1 ...

Honolulu to Sydney

We boarded the ship on a Monday, our previous experience boarding a NCL ship in Honolulu a few years back had us a little concerned that we may have a couple of hours of standing in line. What a difference this time, around 40 minutes after arriving at the dock we were on board standing on deck 11 looking back at Waikiki. We had cruised on the ROTS 11 months ago so we knew our away around the ...

FIRST TIMERS ON ROYAL CARIBBEAN

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

This was our third cruise and first with Royal Caribbean. It was nice to be on this ship's maiden voyage to Australia (our home country). There were over 1500 Aussies on board. Royal Caribbean really went all out with the fuss they made of the Aussies, including quite a large selection of our alcohol beverages on board. Our embarkation in Honolulu was fast and efficient with very friendly ...

We set out into the unknown having never cruised before. We chose the RCI Radiance of the Seas as it was sailing to ports we were interested in. Getting on the ship was very easy (obviously they have done this before!!!) It was all a bit of an eye opener to begin with but we soon found our feet. We were a bit disappointed with the size of our cabin - but we chose it so that was our error. It ...
