This cruise was a long time in the planning and didn't disappoint. After spending 2 weeks in Canada and 5 nights in Hawaii, this was the perfect way to return home to Sydney calling at Pappete, Moorea, Bora Bora, Wellington and Picton. Arrived at the Honolulu cruise terminal around 11.00am and although departure wasn't due until 10.00pm (actual 2.00am) we were immediately allowed to board and ...

had previously cruises NZ with Radiance and found the cabin clean, food great and entertainment sufficiently good to balance out the cruise. We had any time dining but found the windjammer food different menus good to suit our taste and we had the drinks package so good morning coffee, fresh juice and cocktails by the pool were all good. The ship was late leaving Hawaii but the sailing was ...

Good cruise but could have been better

We flew from Newark NJ to Honolulu on United. We were in First Class and had the lie down flat seats. They were the most comfortable seats I have ever experienced! Crew was really nice! Speedi Shuttle not a good company. They are rude, disorganized. Hawaiian Hilton Village. We loved this hotel, and returned for our post cruise! Perfect location... but be prepared for high ...

Overall this was a good Cruise. Some adjustments need to made by Royal Caribbean to enhance the Cruising of future patrons. 1. Bands were in the Centrum. This was somewhat disappointing, no area to Dance & not enough seating. Should have been in the Colony Club, where there was plenty of seating & a large dance floor. It remained empty on most nights. 2.The Dog House was a waste of space. ...

Hawaii to Sydney Relocation

This was a very enjoyable cruise, we chose it so we could spend some time in Hawaii before the cruise and also see some of Tahiti, however the long sea day stints were a bit too long with nothing much to do on board those days. The food was good in both the Dining Room and Windjammers and seemed to be even better the last few days. We booked the First Night done Right where they choose a ...

All in all a great holiday on Radiance

hi, We decided on this cruise as we have done the reverse cruise in 2013 on Rhapsody of the Seas and loved it. We had a good time on Radiance but found a few things that in our opinion could be improved. First the good bits. Embarkation was smooth although lengthy. Prob around 1 hour before we actually saw the ship. Our stateroom was very spacious and had lots of hanging space and ...

Brilliant Return to RCL

I have been punnishing RCL for 12 years, since they completely ignored my complaints about my experience on the Majesty of the Seas in 2004. This itinerary and my new bride was the only reason I decided to try them again. I wasn't expecting much since Radiance is an older boat without a recent refit. I must say we were pleasantly surprised with few exceptions. The positives: The Solarium is ...

We fancied this trip for a very long tip because of the routing. Our cabin 9056 was spacious and nice - not too clean but we've enjoyed it very much. The water temperaturee was an issue with 43° this has been fixed after over 5 complaints. Matresses have been worn down - we did received some matress toppers that bettered the situation a bit, but it was still not good. The ship's layout ...

Constant plumbing problems on Radiance of the Seas, bad customer service

We were on Radiance of the Seas leaving HNL September 20 of this year. Upon checking in we found our assigned room, 8008, was filled with the overpowering stench of harmful sewer gas. Opening the stateroom and balcony doors did not alleviate it. From 3:30 until 8:30 pm maintenance confirmed the problem, pulled at least a bucket of sand out of the shower drain, but could not fix the problem. The ...

We chose this cruise because we had done the same one 2 years before and loved it. Our cruise was actually booked for us by a friend (while onboard Legend of the Seas) the day it became available for sale, this was 16 months before sail date. Radiance of the Seas is a beautiful ship, sure she is showing her age a little bit in parts but it is a ship and of course has some wear and tear from ...
