Worst Trans-ocean Cruise

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

We’ve done many transatlantic and transpacific cruises, most of which offered many activities and good entertainment for the many sea days. Unfortunately, this 18-day transpacific cruise was sorely lacking in both entertainment and enrichments opportunities, and was a boring experience overall. This was made all the worse by inclement weather that forced us to spend a lot of time indoors. And the ...

We booked this cruise while we were sailing on Empress of the Seas to Cuba. We have sailed with this line several times before, with Celebrity and RCL ships. In every instance except for this one, the cruises have been excellent. NOT this one. Cruise was from Hawaii, around the islands, ending in Vancouver, BC. 10 days. We had been to the islands 35 years ago and wanted to get back to see the ...

Worst cabin ever

Worst cabin ever: small, shoddy, very very noisy, hot water not always available. Nice ship overall, good food in the main dining room and also the buffet, but nothing could make up for the cabin we were given. Customer service people on the ship suggested that some compensation, such as a credit on a future cruise, would be provided, but no such compensation was received. Also my ...

Boarded the ship in Honolulu. Ease of check-in very good. Activities were lacking and mostly centered around sales pitches, such as a Good Feet presentation. There were 13 at sea days with very little to do. We had a deck 3 inside cabin which was very nice. However, there was nothing to watch on TV except sales presentations -- no current news at all. Ports were -- Moorea, Tahiti, Bora Bora ...

I cant say enough for our room attendant, he was great. He always had a smile and more then willing to accommodate you. Our cabin was the standard Ocean View room, enough space for item for this long of cruise. Now to the real concerns for the trip. Our first hour on ship went up to the Schooner bar, two bloody marys and a whopping $24.00 tab. That's robbery and prices that are charged in ...

Tired ship

Ship is looking very tired. Buffet food was just ok. Pillows must be 100 years old and hard as rocks. We had a balcony room which was very small. The shower was the smallest shower I have ever seen in my life and trying to wash one self without becoming attached to the plastic shower curtain was an effort. The toilets on one complete block of rooms stopped working over several days. A ...

Worst Cruise I have ever been on!

Six of us sailed on this cruise from Hawaii to Sydney and from embarkation to disembarkation the whole trip was appalling. The people at the check in didn't seem to know what they were doing and gave us all the wrong cruise passes. Once on the ship we seem to have many a communication problem with the staff who on most occassions barely spoke english. Whilst they seem friendly enough, the fact the ...

Not what we expected from Royal Caribbean

Reflecting on this cruise, I must say that my family and I are never sailing on the Radience and are skeptical on even sailing with Royal Caribbean again. We are Platinum members of the Crown and Anchor Society, and found that there weren't many perks offered other than a few invitations to a gathering for all members. On other lines, such as Celebrity, being apart of the Captain's Club gives you ...

From the moment we boarded we knew this would be an experience like no other, and talking to other passengers everyone felt exactly the same. We had a junior suite with none of the extras as discussed on the website - eventually asking for dressing gowns. Cruise information on excursions was non existent and we were told to look it up on the internet if we wanted basic information (eg. how far to ...
