Transpacific on the Royal - a terrific time

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Royal Princess

In Honolulu, we boarded a sailing that started in Vancouver – our final destination was Sydney and we spent a total of 20 days onboard. This was our first time on the Royal class ships and we found it an improvement over the older Grand class. The Royal is showing her age, but then so were a majority of its passengers (I’m in my late 60’s – I can make that joke)… Overall we found the ship easy ...

I can honestly say we had a great time, we booked the cruise as a different way in coming home to Australia from the USA, with the price of airfares these days it was a no brainer, we were told it was a repositioning cruise and were told not to expect too much, we had no expectations so thought, lets go! We booked a rear suite, a premier drinks package with all the trimmings direct with ...

We had a wonderful time. The crew really are a credit to Celebrity - nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they do everything so cheerfully. We had the best waiters in the MDR in Mary Grace and Umesha - they truly cared about what they were serving and were fabulous. Captain Alex was very engaged with us and we looked forward to his daily announcements. Our cabin was mid ship on ...

I hate flying. So any cruise that docks in Australia is attractive to me. It was easy to get to the port from Waikiki but we left it late and got traffic. This was a good size ship. The cabins are quite spacious and decent. The staff are great. And who doesn't love Tahiti. The entertainment, food and general feel is this cruise is great. The breakfast ends in the restaurant at 9 am and with ...

We spent one week in Waikiki before our cruise back to Australia. We had a great time. Boarding the ship was super easy. Never been easier in fact. I’m a celiac so I was worried about my food choices but the dining room team looked after me. I don’t think there were as many choices in the windjammers. Coffee has improved a little. Room attendant was amazing as always. I don’t think there was ...

NCL Jewel - South Pacific Cruise Review : 10-30 October 2017 We are just returned from a package which included a 12-night cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line, Jewel, sailing the South Pacific and I will try to be as informative as I can reviewing this cruise. This was the first time that NCL has sailed the South Pacific (according to the staff) which is why we booked it. Apparently, they are ...

I think this itinerary was mis-named. For me, South Pacific Treasures would have been more accurate, because it was traversing the South Pacific ocean that was the purpose of this cruise, with a total of 11 sea days. One day we were treated to 4-5 meter waves, another day 2 meter waves, another day it was a pacific ocean, smooth as a lake. Overnight of Oct. 5, we were treated to a beautiful ...

Cabin: Cabin 9191, an outside balcony on the port side, had plenty of room and the most well-designed bathroom we’ve seen on a cruise ship, with more storage space than we needed and a shower big enough that you could actually pick up a dropped bar of soap. There was some low-level vibration whenever the ship was in motion, but not enough to bother us. Dining: We ate twice at each of the ...

Overall this was a good Cruise. Some adjustments need to made by Royal Caribbean to enhance the Cruising of future patrons. 1. Bands were in the Centrum. This was somewhat disappointing, no area to Dance & not enough seating. Should have been in the Colony Club, where there was plenty of seating & a large dance floor. It remained empty on most nights. 2.The Dog House was a waste of space. ...
