Good cruise but nothing special

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

The main draw for booking this cruise was the itinerary which cruised one way from Honolulu to Tahiti, New Zealand and Australia over our 20th anniversary. Having sailed twice on Celebrity since cruising restarted it is the cruise line my husband and I are most familiar with at this time. Everything went as planned with no problems or disruptions and the weather was fantastic. Overall it was an ...

Not worth it, especially if you travel with kids

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

A family of 3, including a 9 years old child, spent 11 days on board of Radiance of the Seas: 5 days with stops at various Hawaii islands, the rest at sea cruising back to the mainland (Vancouver). Original itinerary included 6 port-of-call days and 5 days at sea, but after collecting the full payment, RCI suddenly changed itinerary to 5 port days and 6 sea days. They offered no compensation ...

Norovirus spoiled our cruise!

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Noordam

To the traveler who complained that his November 23 cruise from Auckland had the food service "locked down", at least you didn't get Norovirus like more than 200 of us did on the trip from Sydney to Auckland! Someone brought Norovirus onboard in Sydney (we had been fine from Hawaii to Sydney). The result was mass illness - passengers, crew, entertainers; all due to NO lockdown of self-serve for ...

We recently traveled from Honolulu to Sydney, Australia on the Solstice. We were in Aqua Class and as usual the food and service in Blu was excellent. We were very pleased with the stateroom attendant who was personable and exceeded our every request. We thought our meals in Murano, the Oceanview Cafe and the AquaSpa Cafe were very good. We enjoyed our ports of call and the shore excursions which ...

This was one of the all time cruises we wanted to do, Hawaii to Sydney via Tahiti. for the ports of call the cruise rates a 5 how can you not like Bora Bora, Moorea, Hawaii. But this review is all about the ship experience. The Cabin The Cabin Steward was fantastic got us a bed underlay and extra pillows on the second day, the bed was uneven my side was higher than my wife's, had a 4K cabin ...

Beautiful ship, doesn’t make up for boring days at sea

Chose this cruise for itinerary and package deal through travel agency. 1) Lacking in day time entertainment & activities. By 5th sea day, was bored. After 9th, weather cold and couldn’t go by the pool, I was exasperated and incredulous as to how little there was to do. Celebrity could learn a lot from its parent company, Royal Caribbean, in this department. 2) Bands for night ...

We fancied this trip for a very long tip because of the routing. Our cabin 9056 was spacious and nice - not too clean but we've enjoyed it very much. The water temperaturee was an issue with 43° this has been fixed after over 5 complaints. Matresses have been worn down - we did received some matress toppers that bettered the situation a bit, but it was still not good. The ship's layout ...

SUN SETS ON SOLSTICE

We chose the Celebrity Solstice because it was rated Australia's best cruise ship 2015 and the ports of call, Hawaii, Lahaina Maui, Bora Bora,French Polynesia, Papeete,Tahiti, Moorea, French Polynesia, Auckland, Bay of Islands New Zealand, and Sydney Australia. The ports of call were great, but as seasoned travellers we did not use the ships shore excursions as they are always over priced by ...

Did not live up to our expectations

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

We chose this cruise to celebrate our 70th birthdays and the fact that we could spend a month with our daughter in Melbourne after docking in Sydney. Food is OK, only two new choices each day for starters and mains and desserts. Many extra restaurants for which premium prices are paid. Staff are excellent and friendly. Entertainment is very disappointing, mainly solo artistes who are not to ...

Celebrity Solstice, 18 night Tahitian Treasures Cruise, October 2 2015 Our decision to take this cruise was based on the glowing reports of the ship Celebrity Solstice. We had some years ago travelled Celebrity Century Sydney Hawaii the reverse to this cruise, and enjoyed the experience greatly. Our cruise on Solstice was somewhat a disappointment in several ways which I have set out herein. ...
