Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Carnival Legend

This is my 1st Carnival cruise but my 7th cruise. I won’t sail Carnival again. Feel like I’m on budget holiday. The food is ordinary, cold when it’s supposed to be hot and visa versa. 5 days until we get home can’t come quickly enough. Everything is a money grab you even have to pay for fish and chips. Bingo is a joke. Same entertainment for 18 days. No dancing for older people unless you want to ...

This was one of the all time cruises we wanted to do, Hawaii to Sydney via Tahiti. for the ports of call the cruise rates a 5 how can you not like Bora Bora, Moorea, Hawaii. But this review is all about the ship experience. The Cabin The Cabin Steward was fantastic got us a bed underlay and extra pillows on the second day, the bed was uneven my side was higher than my wife's, had a 4K cabin ...

Everything was good except in the main dining room. Was nice to see tablecloths still there but I believe they are going away soon. There was no teamwork in our section of the dining room and was very stressful to watch. The dining rm was advertised at lunch as opened until 2:30 so when we arrived at 1:30 they were not very pleasant when we showed them it said 2:30 and they insisted that kitchen ...

While overall the cruise was pleasant because of the itinerary and the friendliness of the crew, If I had it to do over again I would choose a different cruise line. We have taken a large number of cruises and our history with Carnival has been hit or miss. We decided to try again because of this itinerary. When I filled out the necessary information for my boarding pass documents they had me ...

We were looking forward to the cruise to Hawaii,we heard so much about all the beautiful flowers and how the islands were amazing but it was a disaster .The ship docked on the side of the port that was all industrial, didn’t see any flowers only tankers and large containers . When we docked in Maui we had about a 20 minute walk to get out of the port and it was a bad smell walking through and when ...

Relocation from Hawaii

This was the longest cruise we had undertaken at 17 nights. We felt a strange vibe when boarding the ship. On all of our previous cruises, everyone boarding the ship is in a great mood – as we are all going on holiday at the same time. This one was a little different with some people boarding cranky and staying cranky the whole cruise. For some it was their first cruise, which is a bit strange ...

We booked this cruise so that we could have a week in Waikiki and then cruise home. We had a great time in Honolulu. This was our first time on Carnival Legend, but have been on Carnival Spirt twice. We had the first boarding time of 12.30 - 1pm, although it did appear that everyone had turned up to board at the same time! So it did take a little while to get through and on board, although ...

This was our first time on a Carnival Ship, having only sailed with P&O before. This was a relocation cruise with the ship heading to Australia for it's summer season and we joined the ship in Honolulu. Boarding was a breeze, very smooth indeed but our luggage took around 4 hours to reach our cabin. We took that time to locate friends and walk around and get a feel of the ship. The decor is a ...

Went on same ship in 2014 from LA to Sydney and loved it. The ship is looking like it is overdue for maintenance but the crew is still the best. Lots more rust this time, and our AC in the cabin broke completely one day and it was over 90 degrees in there, but they fixed it as fast as they could. Only real problem was the out of control young teenage kids, and the complete refusal of ...

We sailed from Honolulu to Sydney and choose the Legend for the route. staying north and not going via NZ. The issues we encountered were, Extended queue for quest services for at least 2 days trying to fix various issues. Ridiculously high Alcohol prices and no drinks package The serenity pool was unusable for most of the trip due to what appeared to be sewage contamination. ...
