This is my 1st Carnival cruise but my 7th cruise. I won’t sail Carnival again. Feel like I’m on budget holiday. The food is ordinary, cold when it’s supposed to be hot and visa versa. 5 days until we get home can’t come quickly enough. Everything is a money grab you even have to pay for fish and chips. Bingo is a joke. Same entertainment for 18 days. No dancing for older people unless you want to ...
We were looking forward to the cruise to Hawaii,we heard so much about all the beautiful flowers and how the islands were amazing but it was a disaster .The ship docked on the side of the port that was all industrial, didn’t see any flowers only tankers and large containers . When we docked in Maui we had about a 20 minute walk to get out of the port and it was a bad smell walking through and when ...
While overall the cruise was pleasant because of the itinerary and the friendliness of the crew, If I had it to do over again I would choose a different cruise line. We have taken a large number of cruises and our history with Carnival has been hit or miss. We decided to try again because of this itinerary. When I filled out the necessary information for my boarding pass documents they had me ...
We sailed from Honolulu to Sydney and choose the Legend for the route. staying north and not going via NZ.
The issues we encountered were,
Extended queue for quest services for at least 2 days trying to fix various issues.
Ridiculously high Alcohol prices and no drinks package
The serenity pool was unusable for most of the trip due to what appeared to be sewage contamination. ...
This was our first time on a Carnival Ship, having only sailed with P&O before. This was a relocation cruise with the ship heading to Australia for it's summer season and we joined the ship in Honolulu. Boarding was a breeze, very smooth indeed but our luggage took around 4 hours to reach our cabin. We took that time to locate friends and walk around and get a feel of the ship. The decor is a ...
Went on same ship in 2014 from LA to Sydney and loved it. The ship is looking like it is overdue for maintenance but the crew is still the best.
Lots more rust this time, and our AC in the cabin broke completely one day and it was over 90 degrees in there, but they fixed it as fast as they could.
Only real problem was the out of control young teenage kids, and the complete refusal of ...
We chose this cruse because Carnival's cruise around Hawaii was a better deal than the boats that are stationed in Hawaii and do 7 day cruises. This was 11 days which included 6 days in Hawaii and 5 days at sea and a better price.
We had opted to purchase tickets to Pearl Harbor thinking we would get on board on time, drop our luggage and then take a cab back to Pearl Harbor by 2:00pm. ...
Destination, destinations, the cruise was amazing, a journeys cruise with lots of extras to a normal cruise. Staff were wonderful. Ship was clean and the food was fantastic, we had foods from all the different islands, so much fresh fruit and a added midnight buffet. I really can not fault anything about this cruise , it was everything we wanted plus more.
We stayed in 4k, great part of the ...
I am giving this cruise a two star rating for two main reasons. One the food on board was bad. Normally when I cruise after having a meal in the main dining room I end the meal thinking wow, that was a great meal, I can't wait to see what they have tomorrow night. But on this cruise the food in the dining room was dry, boring and bland. I heard a lot of people complaining about the quality of ...
My husband and I took the 11 day, May 7th repositioning cruise around the Hawaiian Islands and then on to Vancouver. This was our 3rd cruise with Carnival and were excited that we had made the gold level. Our prior Carnival cruises were in the Caribbean and they were wonderful; so we had a point of reference and knew the basics of how to enjoy cruising.
We had never been to Hawaii before ...
