NOT SUITABLE FOR UK CUSTOMERS.

This cruise and the two following cruises on June 1 and June 6 were booked as an offering by Cruise 1st on a back to back basis, AND SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN OFFERED TO UK CUSTOMERS. The whole ship, including the food, and entertainment, was designed and set up to cater for Chinese and other Asian guests, NOT US. SIMPLY NOT UP TO STANDARD AND VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING. Noise level on board and ...

A terrible experience on ovation of the seas! Not a holiday! EMBARKATION - did an online check in and made an appointment time check in! On arrival, all this arrangement does not arrange by rci! When check with rci staff, they just tell me to line up like others of hundreds with hours of waiting on line. Rci staff said that the online appointment and check in - is just a ...

Tours very expensive with nothing to be seen Charged 20$ for local transfers when docked and then faced over 1 hour wait to get on a bus both ways Only had anytime dining, no set dining although we had booked for a table of 8. Again long queues to get into dining rooms. Specifically aimed at Asian customers, although the majority non Asian and staff confirmed this was the case. Dining ...

My father chose this cruise for our whole extended family to celebrate my maternal grandfather's 92nd birthday. Our party was 21 people. Before I start going into all the inadequacies of this cruise, I have to give a shoutout to the good parts: 1. The Head Waiter Maximino Mondragon was super helpful in securing mutliple tables close to each other for our 21 people at the champagne brunch ...

Absolutely Chaotic

I chose the ship based on a new and big ship. But my experience with the services was terrifying. Although the staff was trying to behave very nicely, the management of the all the services provided was absolutely terrible. The guest services desks line-up were like an hour long. Many should have been redirected at the end of the lineup to other service desk. Waiting to get into the restaurant for ...

Travelling is one of my work, I go aboard almost every month. However this trip, I really had some bad experiences and want to share with all the travelers. We left from Hong Kong and cruised to Okinawa and Xiaman, then back to Hong Kong. We had a horrible weather and unsmooth sailing. Owing to the bad weather, shows were cancelled most of the night, most activities were cancelled because they ...

We choose this cruise as a family get together holiday, assuming it being most convenient for our group of 6, comprising 4 sisters and 2 of their husbands, as one of my sister who has just been diagnosed with a muscular degenerative diseases. The whole experience was a farce, totally unlike other cruises we have ever been to, and we have been a few!! Their fixed time dining was asked whoever ...

Crowd everywhere; don't go on this ship!

By far the worst cruise I have been on. Finding a table and a place to eat is a battle . I even prefer to be working home than being on holiday on this ship . Too many people . The crew is overwhelmed. Food is poor. Entertainment is not very good. Decoration looks cheap .Guest service is overcrowded. Each thing you want to do on the ship implies a battle and a queue. And ...

Ovation Regrettably Revisited

I wrote a review on Ovation of the Seas at the end of the inaugural Singapore-Beijing route in June. On that occasion it was already a less than impressive cruise compared to Quantum of the Seas from Singapore to Shanghai in June a year before. My wife and I saw the opportunity to sail on her again only this time it was a round trip from Hong Kong to Japan and Korea and back from November 4th to ...
