First cruise with Celebrity - noting of note unfortunately

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

I am at the top tier with Princess so this cruise was purely based on the itinerary. I found myself comparing everything with my experience on Princess ships.. However, Nagasaki, Jeju Island , Busan were places that , if not visited, wouldn't be such a big deal. Beijing, Taipei, Seoul were great as was the end port Shanghai. Would have liked an overnight in Seoul instead of Busan or Jeju ...

Entertainment was very poor days at sea Very little to do during the day almost nothing to do It was as if they didn't want you in the bars All the bars entertainment went for a break of one hour at the peak period of the evening Long periods with no entertainment in any of the bar Travelled with celebrity numerous times always held in high regard very disappointed in this ...

Great tour - disappointing cruise ship!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

I suppose our moans and groans (constructive I hope) commenced with embarkation in Hong Kong (HK). The bus to take us to the ship was 45 min late and queuing for embarkation took well over an hour (after we were told we needed to photocopy our passports). Effectively this meant that we had lost a half day in HK. Incidentally the Harbour Grand Hotel in Kowloon - though slightly off piste - is ...

We chose this cruise for ports and because there was bridge. Embarkation was easy; disembarkation was chaos. We were given times to disembark in groups. Repeated announcements said Indian officials were not ready, but did not tell later groups to wait. Group after group added to the crowd. The ship was lovely, the cabin spacious, though we had a penthouse suite, which was actually a room with ...

I have held back from posting the following critique of Arcadia for almost 9 months . After writing it I thought ; Well P&O is just like this now and you can take it or leave it. However, I am currently on the Aurora and many of my critiscisms of Arcadia, simply do not apply. For example, I have seen the Captain almost every day and exchanged pleasantries on numerous occasions. The jacuzzis are ...

We are experienced cruisers, seniors, from Florida. We chose this cruise because 1) It offered a pre-cruise stay in Hong Kong, where we have relatives and 2) we have always been more than satisfied with Celebrity. You will need a visa for China, not Hong Kong, and they don't make the visa situation easy. Lots of paperwork. Allow plenty of time. There was also a post-cruise stay in ...

This is a very average cruise ship, everything works but there is no wow factor or anyone bending over backwards for you, thank God we had a drinks package as the cost of everything on this ship is very high, there was a outbreak of coughing on board so the price of a bottle of cough mixture went up to 18usd I could have got a bottle of brandy for less be warned if you book up for Beijing book a 2 ...
