We had previously taken the Silver Whisper from New York to Bermuda and liked the Silversea product, so we booked the Silver Shadow. We were supposed to depart from Tokyo, but a Tsunami caused Silversea to change the departure port to Inchon, South Korea and we visited Seoul also at that time. I chose this cruise to join a family group. It was my 6th cruise but first on Silversea. It was the best cruise ever. The service,crew and entertainment was outstanding. I loved the smaller venue which allowed us to get to know the other guests and staff. This made the time on board very friendly and personable. Recommended by friends. Very disappointed with the wines. I’ve been told how good they were in the past but I know other passengers were disappointed also.
I have booked another cruise and giving Azamara another chance to improve their wines.
Good Australian wines are not at all expensive.

I did this cruise because I wanted to try a a smaller ship , I did enjoy less guests and found it to be more friendly, plus the extra nites in different ports.
Liked the idea of there dress code.

Two nights in Hong Kong's Marco Polo Hotel and two nights at the end in Singapore's Hotel Jen finished off our first Azamara cruise beautifully.
Boarding was a breeze but the roll call for the drill after embarking was a total shambles. Due to this fiasco we did not make it to the cruise critic get together.
