Silver Shadow from Inchon, Soutl Korea to Anchorage,AK 5/18/2011

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Silver Shadow

We had previously taken the Silver Whisper from New York to Bermuda and liked the Silversea product, so we booked the Silver Shadow. We were supposed to depart from Tokyo, but a Tsunami caused Silversea to change the departure port to Inchon, South Korea and we visited Seoul also at that time. Silversea had to cancel all the Japan ports and allowed booked passengers to cancel if they wished, but ...

I chose this cruise to join a family group. It was my 6th cruise but first on Silversea. It was the best cruise ever. The service, crew and entertainment was outstanding. I loved the smaller venue which allowed us to get to know the other guests and staff. This made the time on board very friendly and personable. I felt so welcomed and special from the time we boarded until we disembarked. The ...

Recommended by friends. Very disappointed with the wines. I’ve been told how good they were in the past but I know other passengers were disappointed also. I have booked another cruise and giving Azamara another chance to improve their wines. Good Australian wines are not at all expensive. Apart from that I enjoyed the cruise with Azamara I like more than one day in ports and chose ...

Great experience - the ship needs some TLC though

We chose this trip as we wanted to spend Christmas doing something different, and wanted to see a bit of SE Asia. We’ve previously cruised a few times with Celebrity (which we loved) & once with Silversea (ditto). We really enjoyed every aspect of the cruise, including some we weren’t sure about when we booked - did we REALLY want to spend 2 nights in Halong Bay, or get up before dawn to see ...

I did this cruise because I wanted to try a a smaller ship , I did enjoy less guests and found it to be more friendly, plus the extra nites in different ports. Liked the idea of there dress code. Our Cabin was ok although a little wider at the end of our beds would be nice, storage was adequate, beds and linen comfy. The bathroom like most ships a little small especially the shower.I ...

Christmas & New Years Voyage

Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Journey

This was our 3rd Azamara cruise and we eagerly anticipated the opportunity to celebrate Christmas & New Year on board Azamara Journey. Embarkation in Hongkong was one of the easiest we have ever experienced. Our hotel (Marco Polo) was linked by a new shopping centre walkway to the new cruise terminal but as the immigration hall was not in operation Azamara arranged on board processing. We ...

We had never cruised With Azamara before however the idea of spending Xmas and New Year on a ship, cruising from Hong Kong to Singapore, with overnight stays at several ports was very compelling. We loved every moment of this cruise! The Captain was the most friendly, engaging captain we had ever encounted and this friendly, outgoing style was mirrored by the Hotel Manager and the Cruise ...

This was our sixth cruise with Azamara. We have also cruised with Oceania, NCL, HAL, Windstar, Louis, Katarina and several river cruise operators. This cruise was 16 nights, from Hong Kong to Singapore. Embarkation was smooth. In the early afternoon we got a taxi from our hotel to the Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. This terminal is very conveniently placed. We were cornered by a ...

Xmas and New Year - what a joy

Two nights in Hong Kong's Marco Polo Hotel and two nights at the end in Singapore's Hotel Jen finished off our first Azamara cruise beautifully. Boarding was a breeze but the roll call for the drill after embarking was a total shambles. Due to this fiasco we did not make it to the cruise critic get together. Liked the two nights in ports, size of the ship, being able to cruise up the rivers ...

A last minute escape proves worthwhile

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

We choose this cruise to coincide with a significant birthday and to make the festive season special. A last minute change of itinerary meant we visited some some less visited ports in Japan. The passengers were a mix from all over the world, not the North American majority normally present on a Regent cruise. This was probably due to its starting and finishing point. We enjoyed the ports ...
